I would love to order a disney tank top from hot topic online. There are no stores near me, so if I get the wrong size I am stuck with it because it would cost me too much to ship it back. I am a little confused since it seems like everything is in "junior sizes". I would normally be a women's size small, so what size would I be in hot topic sizing?

I got one for DD and what I did to figure out her size (she is a 14/16 in kids) was to take a tank she was wearing this past Summer and measure it. The tees are on the slim side but the tank is actually pretty loose.

We got the Ariel snarfblatt tee and the Beauty and the Beast stained glass window tank - they sent the wrong size on the tank :sad2: By the time I contacted them about it the tank was sold out on the correct size.

Hot Topic generally runs small. The larger you go, the longer it will get. It won't necessarily be wider in the shoulders, bust, or mid section, but it will be longer. If you're a women's size 2/4 you should consider the medium.

I am tall so to get the length I think I'll go with the medium. I find that the size charts aren't always the best indicator. I recently purchased an R2D2 tank on a different site where the chart said I would be an xs. After reading the reviews on this item I went with a large wich ended up being the right size. Thanks everyone for your responses.

I have this tank top (the Peter Pan one) in a large, and I normally wear a large in women's styles. I think you should be fine with your regular size since it is a loose tank.

Good to know, the peter Pan tank is actually the one I want to get!

Hot Topic runs small in my opinion. Compared to what I can wear elsewhere, it is sort of pathetic. I actually no longer buy the shirts cut for females. I will only get guy's shirts.

My DD works at Hot Topic and agrees that Junior sizes run very small. She is a misses size 16 and in tops usually gets a 2x (she has a large bust also). She said the Disney tops are running more true to size, and the long sleeve Disney tops she bought recently are an XL and fit her fine. If you are a small, don't go larger than a medium in the Disney styles.

I bought the Peter Pan tank from there. I'm normally a women's small and I bought the small from Hot Topic. It's a loose fitting tank so it fit fine. Its a little short but any bigger and it would have been way to big in the chest/arms area.
