Hot Red pepper jelly; What to do with it?

I have to bring an appetizer to a party this weekend. I was thinking about brie cheese in a puff pastry with red pepper jelly. I have a jar of it. Any other ideas for its use?

We always serve it (and jalapeno jelly) spread over cream cheese to put on crackers.

Like everyone else said, serve it over cream cheese. It tastes amazing!

That's a thought. I don't mean to seem ungrateful but it almost sounds "too easy" and I have to take it to a party. I guess I am asking for a recipe that looks like I put more "effort" into it.

Snob.

Just kidding. I like allrecipes.com - you could look there and see if they have anything.

Sorry I'm mostly about taste and not how others think I made it.

You could probably take the jelly and mix in some brown sugar and pour over meatballs in a crockpot.

Put it on a turkey or chicken salad sandwich! YUM!!!

I also like to dip plain chips in it ;)

We love it on steak, so there's an idea for any that's left back in the jar.

I know what you mean about wanting it to look like you made an effort, but if you have ever tasted pepper jelly over cream cheeese on a plain cracker (the cracker doesn't need any flavor becau there's enough form the cream cheese/pepper jelly) i is to die for!

My favorite way to use it is this:

Take mini phyllo cups. Put crunched-up ginger snap cookies in the bottom (just a little). then cover it with a slice of brie cheese, and then a little hot pepper jelly. Bake at 350 for about 8-10 minute. These are out-of-control good and disappear so fast at parties. I'm making them for Christmas Eve and I'm looking forward to them the most! They look so festive with the jewel-toned jelly and the pretty little bite-sized cups.

Now those sound wonderful. What does the ginger snap lend to the recipe? Flavor? sweetness? etc. I was actually thinking of baked brie in philo dough. Cut the brie in half, put the jelly in the middle, seal with the dough and bake until golden brown. Yours sounds more interesting however.

Do what my parents did. Put it in the fridge and leave it there for 12 years.

;)

ITA..sounded disgusting when I first heard of it, but it is delicious. It doesn't stick around long whenever I take it somewhere.

I know, I would almot eat it with a spoon and forget the cracker, but people would talk....;)

If you want to dress up the cream cheese and pepper jelly (and you really don't need to). You could take the phyllo cups and put a dallop of cream cheese in each and then a bit of pepper jelly on top. It's really the same thing, but might look a little dressier.

I have cut the block of cream cheese in half, from one corner to the opposite corner, making 2 triangles. Place the 2 skinny ends of the triangle together at the top to make a Christmas tree shape. Then pour the jelly on and decorate with red and green pepper bits and or cilantro to look like a Christmas tree.

This appetizer will quickly disapear!

YESSSSSS.. oh sorry did I just yell? That is yummy stuff right there ! Thanks for the reminder, I know what I am serving on Christmas day . My MIL makes homemade pepper jelly that is to die for , but I was getting stuck in a rut with what I do with it.
