HOT DOGS.......red??????????

we went to a cookout in N H yesterday and we provided the food.....besides beef burgers and moose burgers and salads and such....we had two dozen JORDANS RED HOT DOGS......well people looked at these like it had the plague......have you ever tried one or have seen one.......

I think Ziegler franks are red, too. My grandmother bought them. It's been years, since I have had one though.

I don't think I've ever even seen truely 'red' hot dogs. I've seen them with a reddish tint though. I don't think I'd be too quick to eat one either unless someone told me they were really good or something.

I know the All Beef hot dogs we eat tend to be more reddish in color. Is that what you are talking about?

My Grandma used to get hotdogs like these in Nebraska when we were kids. They were so good! Wish we could get them around here.

they taste like any other hot dog except that the natural casing makes it snap when you bite into it......it is a good hot dog especially over a camp fire

Those do appear to be very red Pumba, lol. Since you say they are good I might give one a try one of these days . I love any hot dog cooked over a campfire. We had friends over for a cookout yesterday complete with a campfire and hotdogs. Even our old cheap hot dogs were good, plus everything tastes better when you're eating with good friends.

I have experienced the red hotdog snap. Pumba it does seem to be a Maine thing. The one side effect of eating to many RED hotdogs is that the red dye seems to effect everything. Ok I know TMI but other then that they are the same. The kids wont eat them so we tend to stick with the regular ones.

I do miss coming here but its been a long spring and summer hauling my kids around. I love it! They are involved in a lot of outside activities that really make life a ball! I am also working on a career change so life has been interesting.

Went to the Seadogs for July 4th. Great fireworks!

They sell these at the camp store that we go to in Weld ME - at Mt. Blue State Park! We ate them once . . .once!
