Hot cider....

It's really cold outside today and the kids and i are doing some baking and getting ready for christmas. We went to an open house the other night and there was this hot cider that was read and cinnamony. i asked the hostess for the recipe and i was shiocked to hear that it was just apple cider and red hots in the crock pot. I put some on this morning and my house just smells so good. I added some orange slices and it tastes and smells like something you'd find at a fancy Christmas festival or something. I just can't get over how easy it was to make.

If you ever find yourself at Hallmark or cooking store check out Mulling Spices. This is another way you get that warm Christmas time scent and taste in the cider as well. It's tradition in our house. Enjoy!

We made ours last night and still have almost a gallon left which I am soooo excited about because it means we can have it all week!

I LOVE cider, it really says Christmas too me!

We buy a pack of mulling spices every year in November at the Southern Christmas Show, and it is full of cinnamon, cloves, etc. Then we just mix one jug of Apple Cider, and one jug of cran-grape juice. Delicious!!
