Hi. :wave2: I am having a stamping party Thursday night and just wandering. Has anyone ever put hot chocolate in a coffee maker to keep it hot for a few hours?. I don't know what else to serve?

I've never put hot chocolate in the carafe to keep it warm since we usually use the instant type now that we have a coffee maker.

However, we used to get hot chocolate for Christmas events when we were in college. They gave it to us in the percolator-type thing - you know the kind they in a restaurant...so I don't know why you couldn't do it as long as you don't run the milk through the machine.

Do you have any of the thermal beverage servers that were popular about 5 years ago? Or you cold use a crock pot on the warm or low setting and laddle into cups. Worth a try!

I'm organizing the cookie reception after our church's family-friendly concert later this month... We're doing instant hot chocolate and apple cider in the bottom of cups (already measured), then boiling water and putting it in thermal containers - like little gatorade coolers, except these are white so they aren't so ugly. Maybe you could do something like that - have the hot water ready to go, then leet your guests decide from a selection of flavored instant cocoas, cider, teas, etc...
