Hot chocolate at Disneyland?

Thanks, everyone, for the great replies and info! It's all been very helpful. After I considered all recommendations, I think I'll take her to Ghirardelli. She may have had it before but I want to treat her to something special... because she's something special :-).

Looking forward your reading the update after tomorrow. I hope the hot chocolate, as well as the entire day at Disneyland, is a hit!

Hmmm... here now and tomorrow’s our last half day. Now I want to get over to Ghiradelli tomorrow morning for frozen hot chocolate!

Hope all goes well! If you do take her to DCA and want to treat her to a Starbucks You Are Here DCA mug, those can be found at FF&P on BVS. There is a special register off to the side (next to Clarabelle's Ice Cream) that sells just the mugs and cups, so you won't have to wait in the regular line.

Do it! It's so good on a hot day!
*SIGH* I was in line to go back into California Adventure at 10:45 am this morning, but I had to get back to DLH for checkout at 11, and realized I just didn’t have time. At LAX now, waiting to fly home.
Rob, I looked for you this morning. However I was at CA for early entry, did several favorites, then went over to DL to rope drop. It was 7:45 and I was about 5 rows of people back at the central hub. I did get onto PP within ten minutes, though I was probably 70-80 people back in the line. :) sorry to have missed you!

Oh, bummer! Next time! It's been on the menu for awhile.

Ah, sorry we didn’t get to meet up :-(. Perhaps next time? I was at the front of the rope in the right of the hub (as you look at the castle). Sounds like you had a good time absolutely that your flight back is pleasant. I got in from the park about two hours ago. I left a bit early because I felt a little tired. I’ll post pics later this evening.

Folks, I've been to DL at least 125 times in the past five years. But I've been off sugar for 30 years so I've never tried any of the famous Disney treats such as churros, Dole Whips or the caramel apples. However, I'll meet a friend at the park this Sunday and she loves hot chocolate (and despises tea and coffee). Can anyone recommend a good (the best?) hot chocolate at Disneyland? I'd like to treat her and this is an area of the park about which I know less than nothing.

EDIT: I've just read that Napa Rose at DGC has the best hot chocolate available in the park... for $15. That's not a problem... if it's as good as they say. I've never been to NR. Would we need reservations just to get HC? Anyone have any experience with this?

Easy: Ghirardelli

OK - update: we did go to Ghirardelli and my friend loved it. I was pleased because I wanted her to have something special. We talked for about two hours before I had to get moving. She’s just great and I hope to see much more of her soon :-). Thanks again, everyone! It worked out well!

Great to hear! Also, I know that your friend is gone now, but for everyone else I tried the Halloween special Mexican hot chocolate at Paradise Garden Grill yesterday and thought it was quite good as well (though the mobile ordering was very, very slow...)

I know you it's past your trip but I thought I would mention that the cart in front of Magnolia Park(in front of the New Orleans Train Station) has Nestle hot chocolate. I like it, it reminds me of being a kid. Plus it is a nice place to sit and drink it.
