HOS transportation from Orlando

Last year we went to Howl-O-Scream and stayed in Tampa and afterwards found it very hard to get a cab back to our hotel (1 mile away). We could have taken a very long walk but Busch is not in the greatest area. I know there are Busch shuttles from Orlando during the day, but do they do anything for HOS. Any help would be appreciated. We stayed at the Laquinta on Fowler, is there anything closer and with in safe, reasonable walking distance. Thank you!
