I was just wondering if any one has used this for their ceremony & has any pics they d be willing to show me??

Also i know with WP ceremonys it will wait for you to take you back to GF. We re having our wedding at SBP as well as our reception there straight afterwards, does anyone know if it would wait to take us back to YC after both ceremony & reception ??

Hey, Feline!

I was a January 2007 bride, and I had the Landau Coach. I can't post pics yet because of my low post count, but I can tell you that I absolutely LOVED the coach--and so did my dad.

It left from the main part of the Boardwalk Inn and took me and my dad to SBP. Then, after the wedding, it took me and my husband all the way around the Boardwalk (taking pics along the way--until it POURED rain!!) Then we went past the Beach Club and Yacht Club (even though it continued raining, which was very lame, as you can imagine  ...), taking pics along the way.

We loved it, though, and would do it again in a heartbeat. If I were you, I would ask your planner for her advice, and see what she thinks you should do.

If you want to talk more though, feel free to PM me, assuming I can receive them with only a few posts. :goodvibes

No matter what you do, I hope you have an absolutely fabulous wedding!! Enjoy every minute of it!!

Elle :goodvibes Thank you for sharing all of your info on what sounds like must have been a truely magical day :cutie: . I did nt realise the Carriage could take you right up to SBP, i figured we would take it to Boardwalk entrace &then walk over. Do you think it would be able to take us from YC over to SBP?
Did you have your reception at SBP?? If so did the Carriage wait so afterwards it could take you to your next location??

We re gonna have both our ceremony & reception at SBP, then have pics taken by Randy at SBP, a round the Boardwalk & by YCs beach. Then id like to go back to SBP & pick the carraige up so it can take us over to YC where we ll hopefully be picking up a limo to take us over to GF

Please any advice you can give me will be greatly appreciated, i would to hear more about your ceremony & to see some pics. Think your count needs to be a round 10. Am glad to know that you really enjoyed using the Landau carraige, i love animals so being taken to my ceremony by horses is extra special :lovestruc

Feline,

Based on what we did, your plan sounds entirely possible. But, we were an "intimate" wedding, and things may have changed since they re-structured the whole wedding system.

Let's see...to answer your questions about the reception, we did have our cake and champagne reception right at SBP, then we loaded into the carriage and took it around the boardwalk.

While we were riding (and pic taking,) everyone else walked back to the Boardwalk lobby to wait for us so we could all wait for the limos to take us to our reception we were having in the Napa Room at the Contemporary--which was TOTALLY AMAZING, by the way!!!! :goodvibes

I am going to try to fool with the pic situation and see if I can get any posted for you to see.

When are you getting married? (I may have missed that in your OP--I'm sorry if I did!) I am sure you are SO excited, as you should be, because it's going to be such a phenomenal day for you and your DH! It was a total and complete dream come true for us--we wouldn't have had it any other way--rain and all!

Oh, and I do have a question for you--how do you get pics in your signature?? I tried for forever last night and couldn't get it to work. Thank you!!

Hi Elle :goodvibes

We re getting married next May & you re def right when you say i must be excited. :cool1: :yay: :woohoo: :hyper:
Im a very very happy bunny

Sign up to Photobucket to upload your pics that way, then copy the bottom link once the pics been uploaded (think it starts IMG), copy it & post it in your thread. It will load the image that way :thumbsup2

Your wedding sounded like a very magical day, i cant wait to have the carriage. I am hoping to get some pics with the horse as im a complete sucker when it comes to any animals. I love them to bits :lovestruc

Im very happy to know that i can be taken right up to SBP, now thats what you call a grand entrance:) .

Where did the coach wait for you during your ceremony & reception ?

Im soooo excited to see your pics :woohoo:

I am uploading pics to my photobucket account as I write...:hyper: \

Our horse's name was Ike, and he was beautiful!! I am sure they would let you take pics with him, assuming he's not too skittish :goodvibes

Ok...back to check photobucket's progress. I am uploading 5 pics of the carriage, but I can certainly provide more if you like! :cloud9:

Ok, Feline...here are some pics of the landau. Notice it started out very sunny and beautiful....

Oh my god :worship:

Your pics are amazing:thumbsup2 , i ve never seen such clear shots of the carriage so now i totally love it

Its def more me than Cinderellas carriage

The horse is gorgeous, hes huge :cutie: .

You looked stunning, your bouquet was beautiful. Is that the one that is offered in the package (please say it is) or was it made especially for you

If you ve got any more pics of your ceremony/reception etc id love to see them

WOW :cloud9:

If you don't mind me asking, how much does the horse and landau cost??

OKay...so the sig pic doesn't appear to be working, even though I resized it???

I had problems with my sig for ages, it took me forever to resize everything. Think i ve had to change my sig so many times now as i could never seem to get it right:headache:

Hahaha! Thank you so much! You are making me blush! :lovestruc I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the landau carriage. I adore Cinderella's carriage, too, but the Landau was perfect for us. Besides, Cinderella's wasn't available at SBP, anyway...which was fine with us.

And I totally agree--our horse was absolutely stunning. Quite the handsome young lad ;)

And more good news, my bouquet which I LOOOOOOVED  was part of the package (at least back when we got married)--all I did was add an extra shade of pink flowers, which wasn't too expensive, and Mickey head crystals.

We had a reception back home after the wedding and the flowers I had didn't hold a candle to my Disney bouquet. Did I mention that I LOVED it???? :rolleyes1

And you really don't mind if I hijack your thread with non-carriage pics of my wedding?? Because you'll really have to twist my arm to do that...:rotfl:

PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE HIJACK AWAY :thumbsup2

More pics please ;)

Im so happy thats the bouquet that came with the package, your roses looked huge. Lots of pink which is always a good thing in my book

I always love seeing new pics of SBP, this is getting me super excited now

I CANT WAIT

If you don't mind me asking, how much does the horse and landau cost??

Hi, Meryll! Well, I was married in January 2007, when Intimate weddings were still called Intimates, but I believe the Landau cost us less than $2000. Please don't hold me to that because I really can't remember exactly. But according to my dad, it was worth every penny!! :cloud9:

Are you considering using it???

Well Cindy's carriage scared me coz it's like $2500 or something :scared1: but having just seen your pictures the landau looks so elegant and a really special touch, they are awesome pictures!

Think I'll have to see how the budget goes, $2000 is still a lot, I presume by 2009 it will cost roughly that much.....

These boards are fantastic and at the same time they are budget killers! :rotfl2:

You're in trouble now, Feline! You don't know WHAT can of worms you just opened!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

This is why I never really posted anything after the wedding--because I KNEW it'd be addicting and that I would get so excited for the brides who are planning. I need to concentrate on grad school, darnit!!! ;)

So...I am uploading more pics with the goal of fully hi-jacking your thread. :hyper:

So thank you in advance for indulging me! And PLEASE do not hesitate to ask me anything at all about our day. I'd be more than happy to help.

So you're staying at the YC???? I looove that hotel!

We re actually staying at Poly but due to the distance i cant have the carriage pick me up from our resort so i have to get limo driven from Poly to YC & then pick up the Landau carriage from there.

After the reception pics etc i really would like the carraige to then pick us back up from SBP to take us back over to YC so my df gets a ride in it too :thumbsup2. We re then gonna pick up a limo to take us over to GF so we can have pics at Gf's beach & inside the resort. Which will then be followed by lunch at GF Cafe

That sounds amazing!!! I love the Poly! And it sounds like, unless they've changed things, you shouldn't have any problem whatsoever doing what you want with the carriage. It took my dad and me to SBP, then after the reception it took me and DH around the entire boardwalk and back to the Boardwalk where my dad and I started. So I can't imagine you'd have any issue doing what you said.

ETA: Is that a greyhound in your sig??

:rotfl: You are SO right about that! The easiest way to put your BEO through the roof is get ideas on this board!!! And LurkyLoo said the Landau carriage is $1700 right now, which, after hearing it, sounds like exactly what we paid.

Your day will be awesome no matter what, though!
