Horror Nights.....Very Scary???

The haunted houses aren't much different then the haunted houses you'll find across this country in October. What makes Universal so special is that there's no driving involved to get from house to house, just walking. The pathways are also scare zones with decorations and scare-actors. They also have the annual Bill and Ted show that's usually a riot. If you can do haunted houses normally, you should be able to do HHN.

glad to read this:thumbsup2 was starting to wonder after reading how scary the houses are...im used to local amusement park offerings;)

Yeah, as everyone else said, it might not be a good idea if the houses freak you out. There are also scareactors outside the houses, as well. They walk around certain parts of the streets and scare people so it may be difficult for you to avoid them....and they do not take pity on anyone! :rotfl: . I've seen it done many times over the years and they didn't even take pity on an eleven year old girl (not me, but a family friend who begged to go one year). The poor kid was hysterical, but they were still chasing her and used their skills to corner her by other scareactors.:lmao:

im planning on not making eye contact, yet if cornered...I'll burst into song..."Mickey Mouse Club" should scare the scaractors silly...they'll think me mad.

Thanks - we just dont want someone - zombie or whomever - jumping out right in my face or even touching me....my DH might have a reflex reaction and knock the dude out :rotfl2:

That wouldnt be too good.....:scared1:

Anyway - keep the pros and cons coming - we have a few months to make our decision.

Looks like I'll be hanging out Citywalk on Saturday and Sunday nights. I'm in Orlando for a conference in October and thought I'd add two nights at Universal (I've been to WDW a few times, but never Universal). I didn't even know about HHN, but I do know that Haunted Houses freak me out and I'll be traveling alone so I'd be even worse.

It doesn't sound like it is worth it for more ride time, so I'll just find a nice place for dinner or somesuch (frankly, I'll probably have my computer and post-conference work to do).

BTW - I'll be at the parks on Sunday 18-October (all day) and Monday 19-October (until early afternoon). I plan to stay on-site (so will FOTL privileges), given the shorter park hours and people flooding in for HHN, will I have a problem hitting all the rides (and hopefully repeating a few)?

Nah...not with unlimited Express access. You should have no problems hitting everything. The crowds for HHN won't start showing up until later in the afternoon and October isn't that busy during the day. :thumbsup2

I went to my first HHN last year and it's the main reason I'm returning to Orlando again this year! When we were booking our holiday last year we had never even heard of HHN, I stumbled across it whilst reading the DIS! We looked at a few videos on youtube and were hooked.

We loved it soooooo much that we just had to return this year, there's nothing like it over here in England.

Hi vinvader. Welcome to the darkside of the Disboards! Macraven started a thread in the forum for people to list their HHN dates. Feel free to add your dates if you like or just take a look at who will be attending when you are. I've bumped the thread to the first page.
