Horrific ADR reservation call

So I set my alarm this morning for a few minutes before 7 am. I didn't have to be into work today until noon, so I figured I'd go right back to sleep after I made my reservations.

I am happy to say that I was only put through to Victoria and Albert's once, when I called back I told the phone very emphatically NO when that option came up (speaking sternly to the phone seems to work).

After that...my nightmare began.

I am relaxing in bed with my ADR sheet in front of me, excited to make my ADRs, when what sound assaults my poor, sleepy ears but It's a Small World.

I swear they cycled through every single language that those little demon puppets sing it in. Just when I thought it was over...it'd begin all over again.

At this point I knew that I wouldn't be able to handle the 40 minute waits that some of you had been getting.

I began to despair that I would ever be able to leave the circuitous strains behind me when lo and behold, I was rescued!

A wonderful CM answered after only about 5 minutes on hold (hard to believe it was only 5 minutes, tell that to someone after It's a Small World).

I was very lucky, she spoke english and was just awesome. I got all my dates and times within 15 minutes of when I wanted them:

Sci Fi
Kona
Yak and Yeti
Le Chefs de France
San Angel
Coral Reef
Boma
and Narcoossee's

the only one I had trouble with was Le Cellier. I had wanted kind of a late dinner at 7 pm, but the closest she could find to that time was 8:50. I wasn't too upset to take it. The trip will just be my BF and I, so I knew we could hold out that long.

But overall I had a very positive experience this morning and a great CM, hope you all do as well.

Congrats! I'm calling on Friday morning. So far us September travellers seem to be having god luck. I hope it lasts for me.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

i got to make my ADR call this morning as well. My DS decided to wake up at 6:30am. I had no wait time and got all the ADR's i wanted. It seems like people in september are having a better chance with their ADR's.

Yeah, the worst horror story I've heard for this month is my Small World experience. Lets hope it continues that way for everyone.

i TOTALLY thought that this was gonna be one of those posts where I was gonna get really upset at how people overexaggerate -
Thought it was gonna be like people that bash a restaurant b/c they didnt get seated for 8 minutes and the server forgot a straw and then their croutons were too crispy and then they're all "Dining at Disney has gone totally downhill!!!!!"

haha.

But I for one don't understand what's so annoying about the small world song? For me, it's just nostalgic :)

I got the Haunted Mansion stuff first and then It's a Small World. I was holding my cell phone in my hand (not up to my ear) and my cat, Tigger, was lying on top of the bookshelf next to my desk. When Small World started up he sat up, pricked up his ears and stared at my phone. He didn't pay any attention to the Haunted Mansion bit.

i called this morning at 7am too and didn't have any wait time. i took one of those late LeCellier rezzies too as it was all they had. but my only real disappointment was that there was NOTHING for HoopDeeDoo at any time for the whole week--not even 1st tier that isn't on the dining plan. The castmember I spoke to told me that dinner shows are often booked by large groups that cancel, so check back often.

Be thankful you got a dinner reservation. I just called (my 90 days out) and got a crummy 2:30 in the afternoon. It was the ONLY thing available at Le Cellier! FOr the entire time frame of Sept. 7-12!!!!

OK, now that's just downright scary, lol :cat:

At least you'll think of your ADR's when you ride Small World! LOL!!!!

 Same here.

It's a fine song... until it gets stuck in your head for days on end and nothing you do will make it go away!:headache:

Hahahaahaha! Of all songs though, It's A Small World....I remember being on hold on a few occasions and it seemed as though it was always Bare Necessities and You Can Fly...
We finally ate at Le Cellier in May....YUM! Loved that soup and the chocolate Moose.
