My mom lost her oldest son, when he was 6, I was 10 mos and she had my 3 other sibs in between us. It sure changes you forever

I have a poem that was given to my my mom then. I usually print it on a nice paper and frame it and decorate it with ribbons and dryed flowers. I usually put something on it too, that refects the child and has a special meaning for the family, example one mother I know that lost a child, said her son told her when I see a rainbow I think of you, so I put a rainbow on that one. That sort of thing. I did one for a friend who lost her 20 yr old son, she LOVES it 10 years later- it is still out with his pictures around it. Every time I go over her house, she brings me to it and tells me how much she loves it. If you want to PM me your email, I can send you the poem and you can do it for them. I have given it to more people than I can count But it is very comforting, the words are so sweet.

I will say a prayer for them! I can tell you from experience, the one thing I learned is they don't want their child forgotten, so whenever you can talk about memories, it seems to help when they know he is remembered.
