Anyone going to Disney on a budget? We are staying at Horizons for a week in May. We are going to the parks 2 or 3 days and eating in the condo for most of our meals. Its going to be a different kind of vacation for our family. We have always stayed on Disney property with all the extras like the meal plan.

Good plan. We have been staying at timeshares for 9 years now and love them. We save a ton of money having breakfast, lunch, and snacks out of our unit. We treat ourselves to dinner everynight. We visit Disney for just one day now. You'll like Horizons. We were just there. Take a look for my review.

I think you'll enjoy Marriott's Horizons resort. After we stayed at Horizons a few years ago, we decided to buy a Marriott (resale), to go along with our DVC points.

We'll be staying at Marriott Vacation Club later this week at Cypress Harbour and Imperial Palms. We enjoy mixing our trips up. Marriott's revive bedding is terrific and I like having full cable TV and my daily USA Today paper during the week, too. It's a different vacation than staying onsite, but I enjoy the variety of mixing my trips up. Too much onsite gets to be a little dull. But we vacation in Orlando three to four times a year (laughter).

We will be at Horizons from May 30 to June 6th. Our first time at that particular Marriott timeshare. This is also a "budget" trip for us. We had to use the timeshare week before it expired in August, and we will be taking advantage of the free/$99 five day tickets for military and families, as well as only doing breakfasts in the room, some counterservice in the parks, and one or two table service meals onsite. It's OK though...we will be at Disney!!!What are your dates?

We will be there May 22 - May 29. Wow, you are getting a great deal on your tickets.

it is a very pretty resort. close to disney - across the street from Cypress Harbour.
