We'll be staying at Horizon's for the first time in just 2 weeks!!! We know our favorite Cypress Harbor buildings. Any recommendations for Horizons? They called yesterday and said one of the slides will be down for construction. :)
Anything else about Horizons that we should know about? Thanks

Ask for Building 28 or 29 (they are connected on an L shape - 28 is facing the platform slide). Or, if the brand new building I saw under construction a few weeks ago has opened, ask for it.

Jeff968...what buildings are your favorite at Cypress Harbour and why? We are going at the end of Feb. and have not requested anything. It has been 14 years since I have been there, so don't remember much about it. Sorry I can't help you with your question!

For CH, we like builds 51 or 52. They look out on the lake and its just a short walk down to the club house pool, our favorite.

thanks for the info...we will request one of those buildings!

What size unit is the OP staying in at Horizons?

We are in a two bedroom. What makes one Horizons unit/building better then another? As i posted above, we have our favorites at Cypress Harbor because we know the pools and like being within walking distance from our room to the pool. We also play tennis which is righ outside our door.

Thanks

If you were staying in a 1BR or studio it would have limited building choices as there is only one (maybe two now) building that has those size units. The resort is rather small and all buildings fairly new, so you really can't go wrong.

Are any of the buildings at Horizons by Marriott close to the highway or given a highway "view" from the balcony? Which ones?

Also, are there any PCs at Horizons for guests to use to check email? Is there free wireless in the rooms or anywhere on property? If wireless is available for a fee, how much?

Does anyone know the answers to these questions, regarding Cypress Harbour as well?

Thanks for any info!!! :)

We have stayed at Horizons, Cypress Harbour and Grande Vista.

I can't speak for PCs in the lobby area at Horizons or Cypress Harbor. For in room though Horizons has free wireless and Cypress Harbour has free wired internet. I prefer a wired connection anyway as there is far fewer chances of connection problems.

Building 28/29 is the newest building unless they have opened the brand new one by now. I have never been disappointed in new yet. We have always stayed in 28/29. We had a dedicated two bedroom once in Building 28 and we've had two one bedrooms and a studio once, too. Always very nice.

I would not want to be in Building 15 because you might have highway noise. Building 13 would put you looking at the Pirate ship pool, but I don't know if that building has had a recent refurbishment or not. Some of the older buildings didn't have the big screen TV's from what I've heard.

Lisa, I know Cypress Harbour has computers to use for a fee in the lobby. I think I remember seeing two of them the last time we stayed. Internet was free in the room at Cypress Harbour. I'd call Horizons and ask about the internet there. We never logged on to the net when we've stayed at Horizons. (oops, I just saw where you got an answer on Horizons's internet for the room).
