hey I am off to Disneyland in May with my family and am wondering the best to place to buy a 5 day hopper pass. I am pretty sure that Costco is one of the best places, but have heard that maybe buying them used on craigs list is an option but if I were to do that, I don't even know if those passes are transferrable. I dont want to take any risks, but I do want the cheapest option. We are a family of 5.

Thanks everyone.

Mark.

Tickets are non-transferable. Yeah, they are available on Craigslist or e-bay, but the people who sell them are scalping multi-day passes by selling them a day or two at at time, at a tidy profit to themselves, and it's illegal. Even if you don't have a problem with the ethics of that, it's kind of chancy, because they've been known to hand you expired tickets and then disappear with your money.

There really aren't a lot of options; you can get a few dollars off at most from Ares or AAA, I think, maybe $3-5 per ticket? There isn't a big advantage to buying them one place or another-- might as well get them from Disney travel as anywhere else.

Costco does a fun pack with 3-day parkhoppers, along with admission to Universal, San Diego Zoo, Sea World... etc.... it's a good deal, if you're doing the whole So. Cal thing. We didn't because we just flew straight to DL without renting a car.

BTW, 5 days is perfect. Lots of time to see everything while still having time to be leisurely, and take midday breaks. You're going to have a great time! :thumbsup2

flightcentre.ca is a good deal if you watch the exchange rate. picked ours up for 149 5 day PH

Yes if you pay with a credit card. Your credit/debit card will charge you a conversion fee of about 2.5% of the purchase but its still a great deal! Just watch the conversion rate, its a little higher today and does fluctuate daily.

I got ours today from AAA ~ we did get the 'everyone gets in for a kids price' though. They were $174 per person, with on MM and free parking in the Mickey and Friends parking structure. I chose AAA basically for the parking.

Have a great time!

Our Safeway has hopper passes! 2-6 days! Even the pay the same price as kids tickets! I was the one whining in the store this morning instead of my children! LOL One of my daughters said to me, "mom, you can't get it, because it's not on our list!" :rotfl2: :rotfl:

If you are military or have military connections, they are very inexpensive. My father is retired and with my ID I got a three day park hopper for $94! I don't know about 5 day but I think it was like $125.
