are you penalized if you can't make one of your reservations? I'm afraid we'll get busy somewhere one day and miss a dinner! I will definitely try to call if I see we are running super late, but I can see how things can come up.

Only the ones you have to leave a CC deposit for. We have missed quite a few breakfasts, some mornings you body just can not get out of bed

You do not get penalized if you miss a normal reservation, but if you miss one where you put down a deposit, then yes, you are penalized in some way...

We have missed a reservation that did not require a credit card deposit. I felt bad about it, but I had totally forgotten about the ADR (PS back then).

If you know you won't be making it, stop by guest service at the park and let them know, so they can free up your ADR slot. This will help other guests, especially those who failed to make any ADRs.

If you are running late, you will miss your ADR. They won't hold it for you. But it's not like they are holding a table empty. I'm sure they figure on a certian number of no-shows each day. An exception would be one of the signature dining places - thus the cc needed. They won't charge your cc unless you are a no show.

On thetoher hand, if you have the dining plan, missing a dinner is bad, as it can be hard to replace a missed ADR, and you may miss out on the value of the TS credits.
