Hopefully I ironed it on right?

I just did my first shirt tonight. I printed it on HP dark transfer paper and trimmed it and all. My iron has settings 1-7 with 6 being the cotton setting and seven the linen, so I put it on 6 and turned the steam off. I let it heat up for at least 8 minutes or more. The design itself was more than a quarter sheet, but less than a half sheet. I took 4 passes over it lightly and then 4 more passes more firmly. I even did a couple extra passes, because I wasn't sure if the corners were sticking. After cooling for about 3 or 4 minutes I took the parchment paper off and it looks fine.

I am just not sure or am kind of feeling uneasy about if I used enough presser and ironed it long enough? It looks fine now, but how long would it take for it to start to peel, etc... if I didn't do it right? Would I notice in the next 24 hours or more like a week? I want to do all my other shirts, but I am kind of scared. lol

Anyone know? I want to try and do my family shirts today or tomorrow, but don't know if I should do it the same or adjust the time and/or pressure?

If the edges aren't loose then you are fine. The peeling is usually a problem after washing. If you prewashed your shirts (no fabric softener) and you followed the directions for your transfers and your transfer looks like it adhered tightly to the fabric of the shirt then you are good to go!

Have fun making your shirts.

Thanks so much!!!!!! That is a big sigh of relief!!!!

I did wash and dry them before hand with no fabric softeners. I also tried to follow the HP directions as best as I understood them. lol I looked at it this morning and it still looks like all the edges and the whole thing is adhered to the shirt. So, I guess I am good to go. Since there is such a debate on to do the vinegar wash or not, I think I am skipping that step and just hanging them to wear in 2.5 weeks. ;)
