Yes we have had loads of rain here but thankfully we have not been affected like some .
My heart goes out to all that are suffering at present from the floods , & just to top it of they now have a water shortage. MAD WORLD we live in, & you never know just whats round the corner

We've been hit by it all a bit, but not too badly.

Power has been off all morning and has only just come back on. Telephone is now down, and apparently Severn Trent are running out of water! Bowsers are out all over Gloucester giving out free water and by all accounts they are mobbed. We're not too bad for water, albeit the pressure is very low, so hopefully it will all get sorted before it runs out

Worst for us personally was Friday when it took me 3.5hrs to get from Cheltenham to Gloucester - a 12 mile trip, which normally takes 20mins or so. Worst part of that was when I was attempting to drive down a road and steam starting pouring out from under the bonnet - a sign that the water level was too high me thinks!

Bad news is it is still raining here, and we have just had a pretty heavy downpour.

So far we've got off lightly - thank goodness our house isn't flooded like many in Gloucester (we live about 100 yards from the canal). The electricity is back on - for now, at least (I'm sure you've all seen the pictures on TV of our flooded sub-station). We are being warned that the water will run out and that it will probably take around a week for the supply to be resumed. Free bottled water is being handed out, but I've resisted the temptation to join the panic so far. Apparently people have been fighting over it and the Police are having to supervise its distribution.

Meant to mention that it's raining heavily again. I wouldn't be surprised if our electricity goes again soon. Looks as though our mains water supply will be gone before the day's out.

I didnt go to work today and the environment agency are saying that our area might be affected. Fingers crossed we wont but working out what needs to go upstairs, including the rabbit and guinea pig
