I made my PS this morning for 5/20 and 5/21. I got an 8:05 PS at Crystal Palace and 1:15 for lunch at 50s Prime Time. I had my CHOICE of times for both restaurants. If it's going to be level 7 crowds and 85-90 minute wait times, how can I get any PS time that I want with only 2 weeks to go? I think that is a very good sign! I'm getting a teeny bit hopeful that the hand-wringing is for not. :goodvibes

I'm with you!

I had a TA friend do some research today and this is what she found out for 5/13 - 5/20:

AS Movies, CBR, CSR, PO FQ are booked (could be just that not all dates are available?) Everything else had some type of availability for the entire week (even though CR was only suites).

I made three PS' for the end of May yesterday and got two great dinner times (LTT and SAI) and a late Cinderella Castle Dinner. Could not get a time for Sci Fi. I expect crowds for Memorial Weekend but hopefully it won't be totally outrageous.
Keep our ears crossed!!!!!

tbelfonti,

I'm hoping your TA is right. We'll be at GF the 13th - 21st. From what I've seen, it looks like the busy parts are going to be immediately surrounding the kickoff and the last 1 1/2 to 2 weeks of May. Here's to hoping for a quiet week.

Oh please let this be true. I have been a nervous wreck since the crowd level predictions went up. I just have such high expectations for this trip (I know...I know) and I don't want anything to put a damper on it. I will keep my fingers crossed for the week of the 14th-21st!

That would make sense... the Danskin Triathlon is using Coronado Springs, Port Orleans, and All Star Sports - the 14th and 15th - 5,100 participants expected!

WOO HOO!!! THERE'S HOPE! :) :cool1:

I'm going a little after most of the posters here, but I'm having a hard time with making PS arrangements for our June trip. We'll be there June 3 - 11. I couldn't get dinner for the four of us at Sci Fi for any night that week! The only thing they could do was a dinner at 5:20 one afternoon, but they would have to split us up into 2 parties of 2 instead of a table for 4. I was able to get a lunch PS though. It's my fault for waiting so long to make them, I just didn't think it would be that bad.

I did a search for when I'm going 16-22 and there were rooms available

I typed in our dates on the DIsney website and every resort came up as available. I am hoping it stays that way!

You have to think that with so many people looking at the crowd projections, the anticipated numbers are affected. People are doing more and more research and trying to avoid the crowds. More and more people are willing to pull the kids out of school for their family vacations so the more crowd levels are advertised, the more I think we will see a shifting. IMHO, the higher the crowd projections, the fewer people will head to the parks. Maybe I'm just being hopeful for my June trip :Pinkbounc ....

Spoke with Disney Travel this afternoon and she said that its not that bad at all with the exception of this Sat and to avoid MK. Memorial day weekend is pretty packed but after this coming Sat. till shouldn't be too bad.

Disney Junkie

I hope you are right. We have never been at such a busy time before and are bringing 11 of our friends with us over from the UK, for a once in a lifetime trip for them. We stupidly only checked the crowd levels after we had booked (over a year ago!)

We are DVC members so will obviously go again but I feel sorry for our friends if they miss loads of rides etc due to the crowds. We did not realise US had a holiday until too late.

Hope you all have a great time.

We will be at MGM on the 21st of May. Looking to book lunch at sci fi diner using P.S. Do have to call or can you do it on line. We are from Scotland and only arive on the 20th of May.
Any idea?

More pixie dust from me!!!!! We'll be there from Wednesday-Thursday around Mem Day and I'm hoping SOME of our trip will be less crowded at least. I know I just added a night onto my stay and was able to keep my room....
Have fun you guys going before me! :flower:

You should call for a PS, but when we were there in October, We just walked up to Sci-Fi after it opened around 11:00 am and got seated. Don't know if we just happened to be there on a quiet day or what. If you are set on going to a specific restaurant, then I would make a PS.

  We will be at Pop on the 14th to 19th.

I actually made my PS for Chef Mickey's and the Castle and LTT back in March and had some problems getting the times I wanted. I got all three but some an hour to hour and one half later than preferred.

I guess we just have to go with the flow and hope that the crowds are manageable and that the sun shines. Hope everyone has a magical time.

Hi - have a great trip - to make P.S. call 1-407-934-7639...

We are leaving on May 17th -25th - hoping the crowds are too bad. Waited until the last minute the get Fantasmic! Dinner Package - even though we already had PS for Hollywood & Vine, we could not attach the FDP for any night of our stay... However, I called to make PS for my parents who are going for their 50th wedding anniversary 6/1 -5 and had no problem with the four restaurants they chose.

Have a great trip everyone.

For a PS you call 1-407-939-3463 or also found 2 toll free #'s (for United States calls) & they are 1-877-939-3732 or 1-800-828-0228 (you have to
press the #3 when someone starts to speak). :earsboy:
