Hope for Fellow Wait-listers!

Hi everyone,

Currently, in DVC-Mousecellaneous, there are several threads focused on wait-list requests and, specifically, limited quantity villas. Today, I would like to share a success story and offer hope.

Over the past 4 weeks, I have successfully pieced together a 5-night stay in a BLT studio standard for the middle of December. When I started, I began picking up nights at BCV, BLT (standard and lake) and VWL. I was able to book 3 consecutive nights at BCV (Monday - Wednesday), 4 consecutive nights at BLT in a studio lake (Tuesday - Friday), and 2 intermittent nights at VWL. Ultimately, I cancelled all of my other reservations when I secured the 5 consecutive nights at BLT in a standard studio. I am very hopeful that the last night will come through soon.

So, I was able to piece together a BLT standard studio for December less than 5 months out. I consider this to be quite an accomplishment, given the villa type and time of year. Be persistent with checking availability and wait-list single nights to bridge sporadic nights that you secure. It can be done!

Thanks for sharing. I've got a 2BR waitlist for one night in OCT and I'm not getting my hopes up. It's at the end of a SSR stay and I was able to confirm one night @ BLT, but I really would like at least 2 to make it worth moving for.

This morning, I successfully picked up night 7 at BLT in a studio standard! Six nights, 5 of which are consecutive, have all come available in July.

Now, if the 6th night comes through, I will have successfully pieced together an 8 day, 7 night stay at BLT in a studio standard for December.

It can be done

We had planned our usual F&W week in October....and then got the wonderful offer for a cruise on the Magic. So....will be staying at the airport at Orlando but would rather stay in Disney the extra night and have waitlisted at least 8 places (I can do that since I have multiple contracts and member i.d. numbers). Would much rather catch the cruise bus from a DVC resort. Even if it means me having to schelp the rental car to Orlando and take the Mickey bus back to the resort!! So happy that the member website makes it so easy to check waitlists now.

I was able piece together 5 nights at BWV for October. I stalked the website daily and finally got the final day.
