Hop without a hopper?

Anybody ever try to Park Hopp with a one day (no hopper) ticket?

Maybe someone has tried, but I don't think that they would have been successful. When you go through the turnstyles at the second park, the ticket would not work in the card reader.

Well, people have probably tried but it wouldn't work. When trying to enter the 2nd park the machine at entry would read that the ticket had already been used at another park.

So I guess they don't hand stamp anymore?

No hand stamps since June 20. Everyone has to do the finger scan now.

And even with the hand stamp, we always had to put our cards through the reader at the second park. Don't know if that was always the case though?

I have been going to WDW since 1995 and you needed your ticket and your hand stamped to park hop.

We watched someone TRY to do this one day with the old tickets. He spent quite a bit of LOUD time trying to explain to the CM that he had "1 Day Park Hopper Tickets". Uh uh... no dice... although the CM did offer to upgrade him to a 2 Day Park Hopper

if you get the plus pack with water parks and DQ, then you can sort of 'hop'. Start out at a park, go to a WP in the afternoon, then return to the park for the evening and fireworks/parades, etc...
