I am a big music fan and have just noticed that Hootie and the Blowfish are playing the House of Blues in September.

If you are in Orlando on 14th September, get yourself down there. They are fantastic live, I have been to over 250 gigs and these are up there with the best gigs I've seen. They are one of those bands that are better live than on record.

This may seem like an advert, it isn't!! I just hope that if you are there you get a chance to see them in a small venue. Me - I'm kicking myself I won't be there.

And they like golf! I'll bet they'll be making the most of all those Orlando courses whilst they're there!

Hootie and The Blowfish, wern't they featured in an episode of Friends once. I didnt even realise they were a real band ;) A little to early for us but I hope whoever is there at that time enjoys them. :thumbsup2

We're gutted. The only gig on at HOB when we're there, is Pink!
Love Hootie, and we love golf too!

I would love to see them, only thing is HOB is a standing only venue and I am getting older!

Cheers Kevin seen them live in Leeds years ago & they were excellent, one of the best live bands that I've seen!

At the time of their first Album release they were one of Americas biggest bands.
It sold 16 million worldwide and is the biggest selling debut album by a group ever, so yes, they are real !!

I saw them live in 2001 at the HoB in WDW and they were awesome. So good that they won me over and I've seen them live six times since.

I wish I was going then!

Thanks for that Kevin :thumbsup2

When I'm there it's Peter Frampton
I can still remember when he had a hit... ;) a loooooooong time ago

Hootie are great.

I go to Orlando in January and wondered if anybody knows where I could find a list of gigs in the area around that time. I like anything remotely guitar influenced

We're staying at Reunion in October and Peter Frampton will be doing a private gig along with Foreigner (and Kenny Loggins and Dooby Brothers the following evening). How cool is that?

I like www.pollstar.com. To search for gigs at House of Blues, you need to input 'Lake Buena Vista'. For Hard Rock Live, simply 'Orlando' (which will also bring up gigs at the TD Waterhouse Center amongst others). You do need to keep searching, though - HRL, in particular doesn't seem to announce stuff until quite near the time. Of course, you can also search the HoB and HRL official websites.

You can also input details of your favourite artists (up to 5, I think) and you will receive an email every time a tour date is announced.
