Hooray! Convinced DH 2 days park-to-park is best!

We plan to hit mainly the Harry Potter attractions at Universal/IOA, but there are a few rides I know we will also want to try, as well as some of the shows. We are not coaster riders at all.

But hubby insisted we could do it all in one day. Today, I finally convinced him to give it at least two. More would probably be better, but this is such a coup I cannot express how happy I am.

Express would be nice, but that's a pipe dream. It was two days or one with single ride Express pass. I convinced him we'd feel less rushed with two days.

Today I spent all afternoon trying to wrangle everything down to one day via Touring plans (and pretty sure they were being optimistic on their wait times). I feel soooooooo much better. Any suggestions on how to tackle two days? Should I plan on all Harry Potter the first day and the second day catch the other stuff or should I concentrate more on one park with a bit of the other, then switch it the next day? First timer, so eager for suggestions.

Where are you staying?

Wizarding Worlds are both in the back of each park, so you're passing a lot to get there. Since you got park to park you can take the hogwarts express between them (once both are open), but to leave you'll walk past it all.

Look at the maps on the website and make a list of things you're interested in.

Are there any coasters anywhere you'll ride? If you're ok with Big Thunder st Disney, try The Mummy. If not even Big Thunder then ignore that. :)

I'd bookend each day with Harry Potter and enjoy all the other stuff midday. Eat lunch between 11-11:30 so you minimize food waits. Or hit your must ride list right away

I was so excited, I forgot to explain our plan more! Also, just bought tickets via Undercover Tourist (is that okay to mention?). They have a deal today: buy 2 park-to-park tickets and get a 3rd day free. There's also an add'l savings if you also buy WDW tickets at the same time.

We are staying off-site. DH gets free hotel through his work.

We plan to do Mummy and Flight of the Hippogriff (?), Gringotts and HP's Forbidden Journey, but not any other coasters. Those are about at the limit of our level (don't get me started on DH's statement that he can do SW's Kraken if it's VR). Definitely no Hulk or Rip Ride Rockit for us!

Thanks to everyone for the advice! Did I mention I'm happy to have an extra day? Well, I am! :D

So do you get 3 days now??? If so, woo!

Fwiw RRR isn't actually that different from mummy. The starting lift is worse than any part of the rest of it. There are no inversions (they used magic to get the feeling of it without true inversions). It's smooth. And I'm a chicken!

Free hotel, great rate on tickets...I dunno, seems like throwing in a day buying express pass might not be horrible. ;)

Do you have your traveling-to-the-park plans worked out?

Yes, we do! Not sure we'll be able to use the extra day (bummer) because we have a lot of other Orlando stuff planned for our trip. But we have the option. I'm in sticker shock (also got our Space Center tickets at the same time). I'm not sure I could handle paying for express pass, but minds may change once we get there.
RRR may not be much worst than the Mummy, but I can see it! Makes a world of difference to someone who's afraid of heights. :scared1: That's why I'm shaking my head at equally terrified DH when he said he could ride Kraken now. I think he'll take one look at the coaster and say, "no way." Honestly, I could probably do Hulk since I have ridden boomerang coasters before, but that was always with a confident friend to get me through it. This time, I'd need to be the confident one, and that just ain't happening.

We'll have a rental car. We won't be staying at Disney for the first part of our trip, so it's that or taxi or uber? Not sure yet if our hotel has a shuttle or if I trust them to be there when we need it if they do.

I do Hulk, Mummy, Dueling Dragons, etc but no way will i do RRR

It's that first climb up the hill when it starts that keeps me away

Nothing worst than that hang at the top of that first huge hill! No interest in doing Aerosmith either.
