Not a fan myself. Once every 20-30 years is sufficient! The food is only so so, IMO. The show is quite juvenile and corny. And, the washboard thing at the end, well, let's just say standing near a jet taking off would be more pleasant. Needless to say, I much prefer the luau where there is real talent on display, but I'm in the minority.

put me on the list of the people that did NOT like it. It was not worth the (8) dining credits it took for a family of 4 to go. The food was just plain terrible (chicken was OK, ribs were undercooked, and dessert was OK). I really expected alot better food for the price we were paying. Also, we were sat upstairs, so we didn't have the best views either.

I'm glad we got to see it at least once, but that will be the LAST time.

We did HDDR awhile back. My dd loved it so much that she asked if she could celebrate her 13th birthday there!! So, we are traveling with her friend from our childbirth class and her mom for the girls' joint birthdays. Is the food the best? Nope, not even close. But the show is a hoot. We are going to the late show on Oct 25. I booked it a year ago just to be sure I got a great table. If it weren't for the two birthdays I wouldn't have cared so much.

We did HDDR and really enjoyed it. It is corny like Carol Burnette, IMO. Safe humor for the little ones. One thing that made it great for us on the dining plan is that you could have all the alcohol you wanted. I didn't know that when I booked it. Since we were using Disney transportation, we indulged a bit. Maybe the alcohol made it more enjoyable. Regardless, you should do it once!

We just booked for Dec 17 at 7:15pm. I think my kids will really like it (they will be 6 when we go). Can't wait!

a CM told me that the seats are made by time of reservation. They also have to take into account the size of parties, available tables, etc. We booked our last time about 10 months in advance and just had one table between us and the stage. What a great time the "Hoop" is!

Put us on the list of those that loved it...right down to the washboard at the end! I'd love to go again, but while my DH liked it, I don't think he'll want to go again any time soon. I cancelled and changed my night a few months in advance and we actually got the table at the very back, but it was still great seat wise.

My 5 and 3 yr old loved it! Have fun!

We booked HDDR about a month before our trip, which was last week. So I was expecting to sit up in the balcony. I was really surprised to get a table right in the middle of the floor downstairs ... we even got the spotlight on us once when asked where we were from.
