Good morning-

I've searched back a few pages and haven't found any mention of this particular question.

Last year, we were able to secure Cat 1 seating for the HTD Review. Looking back, I'm not entirely happy that we paid nearly $200 for BBQ food but the entertainment and venue were great.

This year, I've wised up and made reservations for 5PM, Category 3 seating. Previously, we were 2 tables from the stage- a great place to sit. At that time, I really didn't appreciate the view from the balcony level, but did notice that the characters went out of their way to interact with guests. Thus, my questions:

1) Is the "viewing" angle decent from tables higher up? Is it easy for young children to see the stage?

2) Do the characters still interact with guests upstairs? Washboards given out at the end?

Thanks for your help!

1) Cat-3 isn't bad, if
. . . you don't mind turning around - one half of seats face away from stage
. . . you might have a pillar in your way - five posts per side
. . . your kids are tall enough - short kids might have railing in the way
. . . you don't mind climbing stairs to your seat - not handicapped accessible
2) Some people don't mind Cat-3.

Thanks, didn't know that about seat orientation. Kids are tall but they're still young, so the railing might be a concern. Stairs aren't an issue. I have ADR's for Grand Floridian Cafe Dinner the same night- I wonder if I'm better off staying with that since I've already done the HTD once before and it was downstairs.

1. We have sat in all 3 categories, this past August we did Cat 3, and really enjoyed it. I thought the view was good. My DS is 7 and he had no problem seeing.
2. We had a lot of interaction, one of the the ladies was upstairs and asked DS where we were from and the sang a song about being from CT. Washboards were given out at the end.

We have sat in Cat 1 right in the front near the piano player. I thought it was too close. Cat 2, we sat in the back of 1st floor and a 2nd time the front in the outside behind the piano player.
I really don't think there is a bad seat in the entire place.

we have sat in all 3 categories and have never had a problem seeing. In cat 3 you may have to turn your seat around to see but that isn't a problem. the interaction has always been great--the last time we sat in cat 3 we actually had a cast member come to our side and dance with us on our anniversary. Washboards were handed out to all.
