Hi Everyone

We are coming for our first ever trip in September/October. So excited!!!!! 51 days to go :thumbsup2

I have ADR's booked for both Hoop de Doo and and Mickey's Backyard BBQ at the start of October (different nights ;))

My question is - should we do both? The kids are 8, 4 and 18 months.

Is the food better at one than the other? We are on the free dining plan so the credits are not really a problem.

Any opinions would be great!! Thanks :cool1:

Both are good, but the food is very similar so I'd do only one - in this case the HDD which is a great show.

I would only do one, and I agree that the Hoop Dee Doo Review is far better.
The food is better, the show is great, and you are served family style at your table, not going through a buffet line to get what you want.
Have Fun

Hoop de Do is a MUCH better choice, IMO.

MBB is outdoors, hot and sticky and crowded. (Even in late Sept)

Hoop is indoors in glorious air conditioning, with decent fried chicken and ribs, and a great (if really corny) show.

You'll laugh out loud, your toes will tap, and a good time will be had by all....

Sweet :)

Might just cancel Mickey's Backyard BBQ then - that's 2 extra credits for something else!! :thumbsup2

I'm going the other way on this one, sort of.

While we love HDDR and probably would not do MBB again, with kids the ages of yours I might do the MBB. I'm not sure the HDDR show will be lost on the really young ones and they'll get bored. At MBB there's dancing with the characters in a wide open area so the little ones can move about. Last visit DD - 7 loved it. Not so much for DSs 14 and 11. Now, they are just too old. Biggest complaint is the characters move around constantly and don't stop for candids or autographs.

Food at HDDR is better. Fried Chicken, ribs and strawberry shortcake. At MBB its BBQ chicken, ribs, dogs, burgers and ice cream pops.

Skipping HDDR this trip, but will surely go back next time.

Have a great trip!!
