We recently did a Hoop Dee Doo show during the week at the late showing. The food was horrible and tasted "re-heated"!! I loved the show though! I was thinking about doing it again though with my parents. Has anyone had a better experience during an earlier showing??

We always do the early show and love it. I have to agree that the food is mediocre at best but we go for the show and not the food. I think your parents would enjoy it!

We went 2 years ago and 2 months ago to the 7:15 show. Both times the food was wonderful! My only complaint was that the ribs were a little tough, but considering how good everything was, that didnt bother me. I think the chicken is the best Ive ever had.

We've been to this show 3 or 4 times and we're going back this coming May. We have never had a problem with the food and have always found it to be hot and tastey.

My DW and I did the early show in May. The food is the same -- it's OK, but nothing to write home about. But then you don't go to HDDR for the cuisine ! I am usually laughing too much to really notice the food anyway.

We have been twice, never had any problems with the food. I think some folks go thinking it is a regular restaurant or something. The food comes out in buckets and is finger food. I am not a food critic but have no complaints. Besides as mentioned in earlier post, who goes for the food anyway??..smjj

Went to the earliest show in 1991 (It's been a while) I still rememeber the food. I remember not liking the ribs but the fried chicken is always good. It's worth a try to do the earlier show so you can compare.

I've been there twice this year, and really loved the place. We do the 7:15 show, and the food has always been very good (however, I don't care for the strawberry short cake - didn't like it either time).

we went to hoop de doo twice, once last november and then again in May, both times it was the 9:15 show.
the first time the food was just ok, the second time it was much better... pretty good actually.
but the show is reason enough to go! it is such a great time!

Thanks so much for your comments! I went to HDD during the off season and for the latest show. I wasn't really hungry at all either so maybe I am being too critical! In any event, the show is worth going back for and will do so next month!!
