We are WDW veterans spending an average of 20+ days in the parks a year, but we have never been to Hoop Dee Doo of FW. Eating outside with the bugs doesn't sound fun to DH and me. However, I often read that people love this show and it's a must-do for them.

What makes this show so special? Should we include it on our next trip?

DH and I love the HDDR! Now we have a DD and can't wait until she's old enough. It's corny, but a lot of fun. BTW, you're inside, not outside, where it's nice and climate controlled. :goodvibes

Right - it's inside, air conditioned - not outside. Perhaps you're thinking of the Mickey BBQ thing - that is outside.

Hoop is fun - it's a great, corny, western-themed show. The food is fine - standard picnic/BBQ food served to you. Free beer & sangria too. I definitely think it's a must do at least once.

So all these years, we thought it was outside:rotfl2: About how long does it last?

From the time you're seated until the very end, I'd say approx. 2 hours.

You have to do it at least once!

I really wasn't keen on going.... but a co-worker talked me into it. It's a WDW classic. So, I thought I had to go.... It's kind of like the old TV show Hee Haw. The You Tube videos just looked corny and I didn't think I'd like it.

Here's the top reasons I enjoyed it. The only down side is figuring out how to get there... it's tricky by bus.

DS4 laughed non-stop. The show was funny. I enjoyed watching DS laugh so much.

Our waitress was a riot. Kidding around, full of surprises. I'm not telling any more because it might spoil some of your fun.

The food was surprisingly very good. OK... it's just chicken and ribs, beans, salad, etc... but it WAS good.

Beer included. OK, it's Bud or Bud Light... but that's what I like with food anyway. I prefer stronger tasting beer by itself.

The $30 photo is worth it. Your photo is on one side. The cast from the show is in another photo on the other side.

We all had a great time! Try it out!

We attended the HDDR during one of our first trips with out kids, when they were pretty young. There is one boisterous part of the show (I won't spoil it) that totally freaked my DD out and she was on pins and needles the rest of the show. It is old fashioned Disney Cheese, and we loved the show and the meal. We did have our car and drove, but plan your arrival by bus allowing plenty of extra time.

It's a must-do for us every trip!! My husband and my boys absolutely love the show and the food. I've never seen anyone eat so much fried chicken and ribs!!
We're booked for Sat. June 4th and we can't wait!! You definitely gotta go.

If you have never done Hoop, you MUST do it at least one time! It is so much fun. The cast is hysterical. They have a lot of audience participation. My husband happened to be wearing a large sombrero, so they made fun of him the entire show. It is fun for all ages. And, they have all ages participate, too. The food is pretty good. I loved the ribs. I didn't think I would like it much, but I really LOVED the show. My 9 year old son loved it too. He can't wait to go back. And, he still talks about the show.
