We are going to WDW in May and wondering if it would be a good idea to take our 18 month old son (also have a 9 year old son) to the Hoop-Dee-Doo show. I made the reservations for it but was told I could cancel them up to 48 hours in advance without being charged. Any opinions about this? Wondering if it would be a good idea with a baby. Thanks:earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy:

GO! Its absolutely one of THE must-dos at WDW, imho. We took our youngest when he was 11 mos and again at about 20 mos. ITs great!

Definately! My 12 month old at the time LOVED it! He sat transfixed for the entire show - laughed at times, and was lavished with attention from the actors - we sat in the first row of tables. I will truly miss not going to the HDDR this time.

Thank you so much for your input. We are really looking forward to the show and it sounds like our 18 month old will really enjoy it as well. :D

I went last year with my grandson he was 18 months and loved it! We are taking him again this year. I am prepared to leave if I have to, I don't want to be a distraction for other people trying to enjoy the show. I know sometimes a two year old can get a little tired of sitting, but I would (and have) take small children. Most love the music and the color!

How long is this show? Our son will be 17 months when we visit in June and now I am thinking we should go too....

From what I have read, I believe the show lasts about 2 hours.

I think it is pretty close to 2 hours. If I remember correctly they have seating at 7 and then at 9 so it would be a little under that mark. They do leave a little time to reset tables and such.

For people with older children, 4 or so, you may want to check out the BYBQ. It is really great too. Just more for kids than the Hoop-Dee-Doo. They have dancing and I worry about the little ones on the dance floor. Haven't seen one get run over yet but....

Just went to HDDR on last Friday, and the show we were at began at 7:30 and ended at 9:05. Had a great time, but I think once will be enough for us. I'm sure you kids will love it.
