I will be on the dining plan next year and have never been here. I had heard there are different seating categories. Can you only get category 1 seating if you pay OOP. So you can book category 2 or 3 if you are on the dining plan...is that correct?? :confused3

That is my understanding of how it works. . .

You can get cat 1 on DDP if you reserve at the very latest seating/show. However, HDDR is a family favorite of ours and we have always been very happy with our cat 2 seats. :)

Honestly any seat in the house is just great, the performance hall isn't that big and all the performers come into the audience to make it interactive for everybody.

We actually had category 2 at first (we went early June) but I changed it to category 3 because you're actually a bit closer to a stage with those seats, the difference being you're on the left or right sides on the 2nd floor.

Don't fret though, every seat is a good view.

You know, I wonder if beer is still included.
I see on the DU link, talking about HDD, they give the price of beer at $5.25.

????

Wow, thanks for that. It does make it look like 2 & 3 seating are far away from the stage. Others have said it is not bad, though. 3 kinda looks better. Those with experience let me know what you think. Thanks

I may be wrong(and I often am:rotfl: ) but I thought that if you pay OOP, then it's your choice of all 3 categories where you want to sit, with category 1 being the most expensive. If you want to pay by using DDP credits, then you can only get category 2 or 3 for the first 2 shows, then any category for the last show at 9:30pm. I think I got that right.;) And yes, the unlimited pitchers of beer and sangria are included in the price.:drinking1

We sat in category 2 last year and were almost the last table in the back on the main floor. Even though we were almost at the end of the room, we saw everything and we were glad we didn't pay OOP for category 1, when that could have been the table in front of us.:goodvibes

We have been in cat 3 seating and had a great time. The actors go everywhere. However this past Feb we had a cat 1 at the 9:30 seating and it was a blast. Very fun!!!! I was actually surprised at how many children were at the late show. The shows fill up fast so book yours. Enjoy
