This is our first time going to the Hoop Dee Doo Revue. I am taking my 13 year old GD and 11 year old GS, and my DD. From what I have read, it sounds like a lot of fun. How is the dinner at Pioneer Hall? I am looking forward to it. This how we are starting trip this time. I think I made a good choice.:wizard:

This is by far one of our most favorite things to do!! The food is actually pretty good. Far better then what we thought it was going to be. Just the excitment of everything going on around you makes it all worth it. Have a great time. We are headed back this Dec with our best friends and their kids and sure hope to be doing this with them!!:woohoo:

DH and I twice have made HDDR our choice for the first night of our stay and had a wonderful time! We think it is a great way to start our vacation! I will be making a reservation for this December also. It will be our fourth time there, I think, and we love it! I think you and you family will have a great time!

Our family enjoys HDDR alot!:goodvibes It is fun and we like the food no its not 5 star but we enjoy it.:dance3:
We are starting our vaction there this year:woohoo:

Have a great time there. The food is actually pretty good! Our kids 13 and 7 loved it! Don't forget to take your camera. The peoplein the show actually came to our table and we have some great shots. Just remember, it's ok to be silly!!:cheer2:

Moving from the Review Board to the Restaurant Board for more responses :thumbsup2

My son and I went for the first time last September. I kept asking myself why in the world I waited so long to see this. We both loved it and this time we are taking the entire family back including my parents.

I was pretty sick when we went. I couldn't even finish my 1st Sangria ! I remember the food wasn't too bad though. Strawberry Shortcake is one fo my favorite desserts and it was VERY good ! This trip I plan on having more than 1 Sangria !

:thumbsup2 We have been twice and had a blast!!! The food was good and the kids really enjoyed the show. They had great Sangria!!! Have a blast!

I'm going for a 2nd time in May. It's very fun and the food is good too. I ate nearly all the corn bread.

I seem to be one of the few that hated HDDMR. I was stressed out getting there and this may have added to my lack of enjoyment. I just kept waiting for the entertaining, funny parts that I had read about. The show was over and I was still waiting. I paid extra money to have front row seats and I was soo mad about that. Never will I do HDDMR again. Just my opinion.

What kind of characters does the show offer? Or if there aren't characters what makes it a great show? I'm bringing 4 and 7 year old girls to disney for the first time in dec 08 and wondering if this show is worth the 2 table service credits. Also, where is it located?

Thanks,
Debbie

we can't wait to go! we plan on starting our trip with HDDR this year. dh used to camp at FW as a kid & did the HDDR every year. He is really excited! the fact that drinks are included..... big bonus!

Debbie- it's at Fort Wilderness so it can be a pain to get to depending on where you're staying.

My family loves the HDDR. We have an ADR for it on our upcoming trip. Wouldn't skip it. The food isn't bad at all and the entertainment is a blast!

My DH, DS (probably 11 at the time we went) and I really enjoyed the show. Our family got spotlighted once during one of the songs and something really funny happened to my son (I won't spoil any surprises). We had a really good time. The food was good. The only downside is that I felt kind of rushed as far as eating. They say it is all you can eat - but within a limited amount of time. My husband is a fairly slow eater and really wasn't finished when they started clearing the table. But overall, we had a great time - I would recommend it - just don't expect it to be a leisurely evening.

We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge so I guess it is fairly easy to get to fort wilderness? I haven' t gotten that far yet in planning to figure out how to get there.

I didn't realize beer was included. are those sangria's included as well?

Thanks,
Debbie

Hi,
I have a couple of questions.....

Would you use your dining credits or would you pay out of pocket?
If you pay out of pocket can you use your Disney Credits from your Disney Credit Card?

and what time would you book for dining - 7:00ish?:rolleyes1
