I was wondering if anyone knows about this show.

I have a 5yr old daughter and a 6 yr old son. Would they enjoy it? Is it worth spending the money. It will be just me and my kids.

I called and they have room at a 5pm show. But I don't want to book until I know what other people thought of it. And if I do end up going, How early should I get there before the show?

Thanks
Stacey

we love it!! had to miss it at our last trip all they had was the 9:00 show. They have songs and jokes and they pick a few people to dress up for a small part. We had a blast! My DS were 3 and 5 when were there.

go for it!!

Hoop De Doo was so much fun for our family! My kids (7 & 5) loved it!

We booked our ressies about 5 months in advance and we had GREAT seats on the main floor about 3 rows from the front, right in the middle. But they do have seats up in the balcony that don't look too good. I heard that you get your seat assignment when you book, so if you're booking for just a few weeks away, I wonder if you'll get bad seats all the way in the back, or even worse, up in the balcony.

Maybe you can ask them where your seats will be. It is a fun show, though. It was the highlight of our trip! :)

:thumbsup2 The HDDR is awesome. My DD was 4 when we saw it last (she is now almost 7) and she still talks about it. Go, especially since you can get the early show. You won't be sorry!!! :cloud9:

We went last year when our kids were 2 and 4. We had a late reservation. 9pm I think, and on our arrival day. BAD idea. We were all tired from the flight. 4yo did enjoy it despite being tired. 2 yo was too little to really care. I LOVED it.

We'll definately go again, at an earlier time.

I'd say GO GO GO!

HDDR is lots of fun and I think your kids will really enjoy it :thumbsup2 DD#1 and DD#2 were 8 and 2 when we saw it and they had a BLAST!!

We went to the HDDP last April and we loved it!! There was so much food that we couldn't eat it all and it was all very good! Go you'll have a blast! :thumbsup2

Thanks you all for your responses. I did call and make reservations for the 5pm show. It sounds like alot of fun.

Now does anyone know the easiest way to get there? I figure that we would go to one of the parks during the morning hours then go back to All Star Movies (that is where we are staying) and have my two kids rest before the show. Anyone have any idea of what time I should leave the All Stars to get there for the 5pm show?

Thanks again
Stacey

Loved the show. We made our reservations very early. So we got to sit up front. We also happened to be the 'picked on' table. Lots of great memories. :thumbsup2

I think the easiest way to get to the HDD is to go to MK and take the launch to FW. From the dock it's just a short walk. Allow at least an hour to get there.

I made reservations as a birthday surprise for DH & DD (bday on the same day!!)!! We've never been, so I'm especially excited to surprise them with this!!! :Pinkbounc

We went to the HDDR in 2004. I thought it was a great show. The food was good too. We were the second table back from the stage. My DD then was 8 and my niece was 6. they loved it. The best part is at the end of the show, they have some guest come up on stage to act out little scenes. My bother-in-law ( who in a big guy) got called on stage, the next time we saw him he was in a pink tutu doing a dance. :rotfl2: I almost wet mt pants :lmao:

Its a great show you should see it :thumbsup2

The easiest way to get there is by cab. You can ask at your resort front desk how to get a cab. The cost isn't too much. Taking WDW transportation is free, but can take 90 mins. to get there.

Enjoy the show! It is a good one! :thumbsup2

What we did was get to MK at opening, then took the boat over to FW about an hour before the show. If you are doing the 5pm show, I would just stay at MK for the parade, then start heading over to the boat after that. I think the MK afternoon parade is at 3pm...right? By the time the parade is over, and then you walk to the ferry, it should be just about the right time to get to FW in plenty of time. We went to the 7pm show and there were resort buses waiting for us outside the building. I was assuming I would have to take a ferry back to MK, then walk over to POP's bus. So, that was a nice surprise for us. :)

We have this booked for our upcoming trip. I hope my DD (almost 2.5) will enjoy it. It's a surprise for my parents anniversary. Since they paid for our trip, we figured we owed them a great gift! LOL Hopefully this will be it. I'd love to take a taxi there, as it sounds like it'd be much easier but we aren't bringing DD's carseat so that rules out a cab correct? I guess getting there will be part of the fun.
