I did a search and couldnt find anything so I hope yall can help. We are going to WDW late Nov-early Dec, my son will be 2. Do you think the HDDR is a good idea for dinner? I have read that some people hate it and others have to do it everytime they go. So please please please give me your honest opinions...is it worth it...

We arent making many ADR's because of my son and his age...we know we will be eating a lot in the food court and thats ok with us...but we want to make maybe 2 or 3 ADR's and I thought that HDDR could be one of them...

THANKS!!:goodvibes

Your 2 year old probablyt won't have a lot of appreciation. I enjoyed it, but my opinion is a little biased because I spent most of the time listening to my dd8 laughing and watching her face. She absolutely loved it. My dh really liked it too, he wished we hadn't waited until the night before we went home for it.
Foodwise... I'm not really a meat eater. I could have called in a request for a vegetarian plate, but I was too overwhelmed and tired the couple days before it. I didn't leave hungry, the salad was good, the cornbread yummy (I ate a ton) and the strawberry shortcake was excellent.

I agree with danielle. We went for the first time last year and I liked it but my DS 8 had a blast!

The food was good (I really liked the chicken) and of course lots of it! I was glad we went and we had fun but don't think I'll be going back this year-with the Dining Plan it counts as 2 table services. With a 2 yr old you may be better off with character meals instead.

2009 - Back to Wilderness ! :woohoo:

We just went in Dec. with my 3.5 yr old, who doesn't typically do well with long sit down meals. It was a long day for us (our arrival day), but it went pretty well. He loves music, and was entertained through most of it. In the beginning, I think he was a bit overwhelmed, and got a tad antsy, so I walked outside with him for a few minutes, but other than that, it was fun.

I could definitely see an older child enjoying it more, but I think you'll be fine. One pro is that the food starts coming right when you sit down. Also, it's not the kind of place where you absolutely have to stay seated and quiet, which is nice.
