Hi!

My BF, his Mom and I will be traveling to Disney and were thinking about booking dinner at Hoop Dee Doo. I don't know much about it and was wondering - is it more for kids, or would 3 adults find it entertaining as well? Also, how did you like the food? And if you don't want to be in the middle of the action (participating), can you still see the show well from the 2nd or 3rd tier seating?

Thanks for your help!

Hi Lori, We did the Hoop Dee Doo twice. We really enjoy it. I took my parents, us, my children - they were 6, 21 and 19 at the time. Everyone loved it. We were actually seated in the front row and really, the only participating we did was one of the girls came and sat on my husbands knee and sang to him (he loved it) and they gave my daughter (6) a washboard to play. She thought it was fun! It is really a show geared to everyone. I've never sat in the middle or upper area but from what I remember, there should be no problem seeing from there at all. Have fun!

DH & I went for the first time this past January & we enjoyed all the hokey humor. We thought the performers were all very talented.
The food: well, food tastes are so personal, aren't they?
We liked it, especially the mashed potatoes & chicken! The food was very decent.
DH didn't want the 'free' beer choice, Bud, and opted for Merlot. We are not wine snobs, but he said it was just so-so. I chose sangria, which I found enjoyable.

Seating: there will be performers all over throughout the tables. I think they are pretty intuitive when it comes to keeping the antics mild with parties who are more subdued.
Maybe you want a Catagory 3 seating which is upstairs (NOT wheelchair accessible) and to the sides.

Thanks for your input - it really helps! My BF's mom likes dinner shows, so I think she'll really enjoy this. I'm getting excited! I hope we'll still be able to get a reservation for our trip. One other thing I'm curious about - how is the seating set up? Are there separate tables for each party, or with 3 people will we be sharing food with others at a larger table?

Thanks again!
Lori
