How hard/easy is it to drive to the Hoop Dee Doo Review? Is there plenty of parking? We'll have a 7 year old and an almost 7 month old, and we thought it might be easier to drive.

We have never driven to HDDR, but I think you have to park and then take an internal bus.

Where are you staying and which show are you attending? We always go to 9:30, and always take the boat (from MK), which is fun and easy to do. Then we take Bus back to hotel (after the late show they run buses everywhere.)

With a 7yo boat would be fun...the 7 month old, maybe more difficult for you.

We'll be staying at the CBR. How long do you need to arrive ahead of time to take the internal bus?

Although you can drive to the FW parking lot you will have to take the internal bus to actually get to HDDR. Here's a link to the resort map. You can see that the parking lot is at the front of the resort and Pioneer Hall is at the opposite end. You're better off getting to FW by boat or by taking a bus that drops you off at the Settlement Depot.

The drive over will take only 15 minutes.

The bus would vary, but you'd need to allow at least 30 minutes+ (and then they want you there early for the pictures you can buy).

Wow, it's a long way away, isn't it? If you take a boat, how would you go about that exactly?

Take the bus from your resort to the Magic Kingdom.

Walk toward the MK entrance, but instead of turning right to the Entrance Plaza, look to your left. There will be three boat docks - one for the TTC ferry, one for Fort Wilderness/Wilderness Lodge, one for Polynesian/Grand Floridian. Go to the WL/FW dock, and board the boat, when it comes.

When I worked out the timing for a friend a few years ago, I came up with between 68 and 78 minutes (allowing for waiting for the CBR bus, picking up at the other stops if necessary, waiting for the launch, stopping at WL first - and walking from one mode of transportation to another, and then to Pioneer Hall). It's been a while, so I don't remember the exact time.

He later told me my timing was pretty darned accurate :teeth:

And, as indicated above, if you go to the 7:15 or 9:30 show, there will be resort-bound buses waiting right by Pioneer Hall, and Cast Members directing Guests to the right bus.
