Hoop Dee Doo Review: are ADR's hard to get?

HDDR is one that ADR's can be made 180 days out, correct? We're going in late May, and my dh mentioned he would like for us to take the kids to it. What are my chances of calling today and getting an ADR?

Just try. There are always cancellations and changes in plans. If you don't get one today, just keep trying. I called today and got Kona which I thought would be impossible.

We leave in 3 days and I got all the ADRs we wanted...just keep trying.
I tried HDDR about a month ago and could not get it. Last week we were able to get level 2 seating for 4 adults and a child.

Good luck, have patience and keep at it if it is what you really want!

HDDR lets you book out even further than 180 day. I beleive you can book over a year in advance. You do have to pay in full when you reserve, though.

Nope, it falls under the 180 day. I think it used to be, (Luau too) a year out, but is currently 180 days. Backyard BBQ is a year.

We are going in mid-May, and I called to inquire about a few dates and was told there was plenty of availability.

That's where I have it. I just have to wait til May to make our ADR's.

I just changed our trip to the first week of May, and got an HDDR no problem. We are in Tier 3, but its the 5 o'clock show on a night where MK has EEMH. But my mom and I both don't mind being up on the balcony. We sat up there last time and still got a bunch of interaction and we didn't feel so squished.

The past THREE times we've attended HDDR I've called the same day and gotten
a reservation. I understand not wanting to do this with a larger party and one
with children. You have to be willing to accept the time and the seating that
is available. But we've always had good luck! Enjoy it, it's GREAT.
