I have some questions for you who are Disney Veterans's!! I have a ressie at Hoop-Dee-Doo for the 24th late show and a ressie for the WCC at another time. We are also on the DDP. My DH, DD-14, and DS-13 have never been to Disney:scared1: We are staying at the CS. That said...here are the Q's:

1. Which of the two rest's above would be better for my two teens?

2. Is the HDD worth using 2 TS credits?

3. Is the HDD geared more for little ones or older?

4. We will be in Epcot, how do we get to HDD?

We are also eating at the following:
Tokyo
Narcoossee's
Ragland Road
have ressie's for Sci-Fi but may cancel
CP for lunch
Bomo for bf

5: Any input on the above? I have devoured the DIS forums, so that has helped tremendously!

I appreciate any tips!!! Thank you and have a Very Merry Magical Disney Christmas!pixiedust: [/COLOR]

We have been to both very recently and can say that Hoop Dee Doo was excellent very funny and whole family entertainment for Kids and adults alike.

The food was good and plenty of it and the cast were great.

We also ate at WCC and this is also great with great food and great but loud service.

If your kids are easily embarrased they may not like WCC but it was very fun.

Just hop a Fort Wilderness bus from Epcot to get to the resort and get to HDD from there.

We also ate at Raglan Road, Sci Fi Dine in and Boma and enjoyed them all.

Raglan Road was superb, Boma was excellent and Sci Fi has a great atmosphere and nice food but a limited menu.

Hoop Dee Doo is wonderful and well worth the credits. I have my reservation for the 27th there. I have been going to the show since about 1980 and my 19 year old daughter has seen it about 7 times already.

You can also take the bus to Fort Wilderness Lodge and take the boat from there.

As far as having reservations and cancelling them, I would keep everyone you have. We were there last year with no dinner reservations except the Hoop Dee Doo and we ended up waiting three hours for dinner one night. Our pager never rang before we got lucky enough to get a seat at the bar. This year all dinner reservations were made back in September when we booked the trip.

Please don't confuse the Wilderness Lodge(home of WCC) and Fort Wilderness(campground and home of HDDR). Thses are two different resorts and are not part of one complex. The bus to WL and boat option would be your longest path to HDDR. Your best bet is to take the bus from Epcot to FW, then you will need to get on an internal FW bus(Settlement Orange would be fastest but any Settlement bus will work).

Since you have ressie for both already I would definatly keep things just as they are HDDR is a lot of fun for everyone and WCC is a loud and entertaining evening that should be done at leasrt once.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Hoop Dee Do! All ages will have a blast.

We did Whipsering Canyon and enjoyed it for a one time deal. Very much geared towards younger kids. My kids at the time were I think 10 and 8 and were too old for the running around the restaurant type stuff they do. We went back for breakfast because we were staying at WL, and couldnt stand it as they do the same LOUD service at breakfast...maybe it was because we werent awake..or maybe because it was one times too many...but we wouldnt go back again...whereas we have done Hoop Dee Do TONS of times and never get tired of it!

WCC is one of those if you have tried everything else and want to give it a try go ahead. 2 teens will not be impressed by it and only adults with young kids will be impressed either
HDDR however, is for all ages and everyone in my family enjoyed it from 9 yrs all the way to 70+ years
silly humor that everyone can understand

Don't cancel Sci-Fi...your teens will really enjoy it! We do it every trip...it's a must do for us!

:flower3: Thanks to all! I am going to do both! I have heard nothing but great reviews about the HDD! Also, I appreciate the clarification on the transportation. I just don't want to be sooooo overwhelmed with details...such as how; when I know I am going to be overwhelmed with the MAGIC!!! and the FOOD~~~ and the LIGHTS---and the...well you all know!!! Blessings to all and Merry Christmas!

Just thought I would add a quick something, my teens (at the time 15, 18) loved the Hoop-Dee-Doo. It was great fun and food was good. We are trying Whispering Canyon this year. Have a great time, you will enjoy. Disney:)

I'll give you some of DS18's consistently favorite restaurants in Epcot

Rose and Crown is one of our DS' faves.
We go for lunch in the dining rm

He also likes Marrakesh. The food is dumbed down there, but you can ask them to make it spicier. There are some wonderful Moroccan musicians & a belly dancer. They do only perform for short periods, however. If you don't want to be picked to dance with the belly dancer, just a sublte shake of the head from Mom or Dad will work.
If you do want to be selected, just wave her over & point out the one dying for a new career in dancing!

WCC is one of our family's must dos. We find it great for all ages. As with all the 'wacky' venues you can get some pretty sombre waitstaff, or luck out & get a real rowdy server!
50's Prime Time is a good time, too!

Last year we were at Epcot our HDDR day. We were on property and hadn't ridden the monorail yet, so we took it to TTC, hopped to the one to MK and caught the boat to WL and Fort Wilderness. It took a little longer, but we enjoyed the boat and monorail, and it is a very short walk from the dock to Pioneer Hal.

Thanks! Enjoy your trip as well! I now wished we had booked through New Years, but we will have fun anyways! Welcome 2008 in Magical Disney Style!

Oh how fun! I just was able to book the Marrakesh for the CandleLight Processional on the 26th. I have been trying and trying and finally got it!!! Now, my DS 13 will be totally disappointed if the belly dancers do not ask him to dance. He is definitely the "goofy duck" of our family. He keeps us in stitches!!!! Thanks and Merry Christmas!!!

Perfect! Thanks! I had a family member tell that the boat ride was fun. Those transp. details will come in handy!!! Merry Christmas!!!
