Which diner show is better??? We have 3 kids. 6 yo twin boys and 9 yo daugther.

I have never been to the Backyard Barbeque, but we LOVE the HDDR.
We have been with 3 generations, my core family when the kids were young and with a group of adults 30's - 60's. Every time everyone had a blast.

I have read that the barbeque can become quite chaotic, reports of people running to get the best tables when they let folks in and it being very hot at times. It is held outdoors in a covered pavilion.

I would strongly recommend the HDDR for your family. I think you and your kids will have a great time.

I have been to both with my kids, and to be honest they found Spirit of Aloha to be boring. But with the HDDR, my son laughed so hard he wet his pants, literally! I would totally recommend HDDR!!!

I'd say HDDR. DS9 and DD4 love it.

With kids? I think HDDMR is the best option. SOA is great for couples or adults, but I don't see kids enjoying it as much as the humor of HDDMR. This year our 5 and a half year old laughed so hard and so loud I had tears in my eyes laughing at her. It's so worth it to go to HDDMR.

No question for us-hoop de doo. We did both last year for the first time and had a blast at Hoop dee doo. My brother even was chosen to be Davey's Angel. Never laughed as hard!

I love the show at HDMR. We usually go every single trip. However, I liked the food at the SOA better. HDMR the action takes place all over the theatre, so everyone is part of the show. At the SOA, they invite childen up on stage and teach them how to do the hola, which makes for very cute photos. So, it's really up to you and what you think you're children will have the most fun doing.
