Hoop Dee Doo Directions?

Ok I just noticed there is a Wilderness Lodge and a Fort Wilderness..is this both the same place or are they different? If they are different, which one to I want to go to for Pioneer Hall?. We plan to take the boat from MK. Another silly question..do we actually go right to the entrance of MK for the boat? Sorry for all the question but he haven't done this before. We have the 5 oclock reservation so I take it we will have to leave CBR about 1-2 hours beforehand? Thanks in advance...Im so excited..this will be our first time at Hoop Dee doo, my hubbys treat to us for Mothersday.

It's at Fort Wilderness. Not Wilderness Lodge. As soon as you get off the boat, walk down the pier and just head straight. I'd say it's not even a 5 minute walk. It's very easy to get to.

If you're coming from the bus stops, go straight where you would normally make a right to going into MK and the boat dock is on the left, before the monorail.

The boat from the MK will dock at both the Wilderness Lodge and Ft. Wilderness. Make sure you get off at the correct dock.

As mentioned, as soon a you walk off the dock at Ft. Wilderness, Pioneer Hall will be up on the right. It's tough to miss as it's probably less than a minute walk, and a lot of folks will be hangning around outside for the Hoop De Doo seating

The captains are very clear about where you are, but if you're unsure, just ask. Wilderness Lodge is usually the first stop though. It's a huge wooden like structure with a green roof. At Ft. Wilderness, you don't really see much except a beach like area and golf carts lol.

While there are smaller boats that go to both Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness there is also a larger boat that only goes between MK and the Fort. At the front of MK just look for the sign by the dock that says Fort Wilderness.

From MK, WL and FW have separate boats. FW usually uses the right side(facing the dock) of the shared dock area, WL uses the left. If you are unsure ask the CM before you board, they usually do announce what resort before they start boarding.

I would allow at least 1 1/2 hours to get there from your resort. It took us at least that long to get there from the All Stars one year and if you aren't there on time, they will sell your seats. I believe that you have to be there 15 minutes before the show even starts to check in. We ended up having to wait for the next show-it was awful!

Plus they want to take your picture outside before the show starts. BTW, there'll be a bus waiting to take you back to your resort after the show is over.
