I was about to mention the category 1 tip, but you beat me to it. If you have an extra credit that you aren't using, go ahead and use it for the meal instead of letting it waste. The other thing you could do is pay for one person with credits, the other out of pocket. This way you split the difference.
Thanks! We are at the very beginning stages of planning a trip for the end of June, so I don't know if we have extra credits; however, I was wondering which is more value using 2 days worth of credits for 1 show/meal or paying OOP??? I guess it depends... Lol
Financially, DDP vs OOP,
. . . no dinner show is worth 2-DDP TS-Credits
. . . no character meal is worth 2-DDP TS-Credits
. . . no character meal is worth 1-DDP TS-Credit
. . . no breakfast is worth 1-DDP TS-Credit
. . . few lunches are worth 1-DDP TS-Credits
. . . few lunches are worth 2-DDP TS-Credits
. . . few dinners are worth 1-DDP TS-Credit
Ok, that puts it into perspective!!! So I guess we need to figure out where we are going to eat and figure out approximate cost to decide if DDP is even "worth it." I like the convenience for sure...
DH and I were just talking about this last night, and we are not sure we would eat all of the food on the DDP. We also like apps and sometimes just order those... Or one appetizer and share a meal. We also do not eat dessert at every meal... If we get one at dinner, we share. So, perhaps paying OOP and putting the $$$ aside before we go would be better.

We aren't big eaters either and have had left-over snack credits...which annoys the heck out of me because I see it as throwing away $$$. What we 'plan' to do is purchase preloaded Visa cards before our trip. That way we stay on budget. Like I said 'plan'...still exploring the idea.
