Hoop Dee Doo and Dining Plan

I called yesterday to get ADR for the Hoop Dee Doo Revue on 4/2...they told me that the seating is now in "categories". You can only use the dining plan in "category 2"(back center and sides) . Of course that was sold out for the entire week we will be there. Category 1 (front and center) and 3(upstairs) are available, but not included in the dining plan.
My question is...why isn't category 3 included in the dining plan? It's cheaper than category 2!!!!!
Has anyone else encoutered this?

I just made our reservation today for Hoop Dee Doo for Feb. 14 and she explained to me that DDP is for only category 2 & 3. Cat. 2 was all full, so we ended up in Cat. 3 and she asked me prior if I had the DDP, which I stated yes. So I would call back and talk to someone different.

This is not first-hand info., but I did read a post by a fellow that said that the category 3 seats were actually better than cat. 2 seats. He was pouty about having to get cat. 3, but was pleasantly surprised once he got there.

I agree, I prefer to sit upstairs. You can see much better upstairs than you can on the floor. We have sat near the front, in the back, and upstairs. The front is better than the back, but upstairs was the best, so if given a choice I would pick category 3.
