I am trying to decide if Hoop Dee Do will be good for us. 3 dd's ages 5, 8 and 11. I am most worried about the 5yr old. Has anyone gone with kids these ages and did they like it?

My kids were 4and 5 at the time we saw the show my daughter(5) loved it while my son (4) was not really interested, or was just tired. Otherwise it was a great show and the food was terrific, and lots of it by the time the strawberry shortcake came out I was stuffed.

Your kids will love it (esp at thier ages.) I did it when I was a kid, and I took my GFs kids 2 years ago. Both times it was the most memorable part of going to Disney.

We took our granddaughters when they were 6 and 8 and they loved it.

My DD loved it. She was 5 at the time. Oh, she still talks about it and wants to go again.

We went with 3 kids. Aged 4,6,8 all three loved it. My 4 yr still talks about it 5 mo. later. Definately take them. and at the other end we also had my parents who are in their 60's and they absolutely thought it was fabulous. Enjoy

My whole family LOVED Hoop. My girls were 2, 5 and 9 when we went. We all had an excellent time. Seriously, out of 5 days at WDW followd by a 7-night DCL cruise, that was my favorite memory. I cant' wait to return!

We took our oldest when she was 2 months shy of 2 years old and again when she was 5. She loved it each time and keeps asking when we can go back to Hoop Dee Doo. She has no idea we are going at the end of August, she is going to be very excited! :woohoo: :woohoo:

We have kids 13, 11, & 7 and are visiting the world for the first time in July.

Is Hoop Dee Doo worth doing? For 2 TS points?

Any input is helpful..

Thanks in advance...

Good luck getting it- it's a tough ticket. But yes, it's worth it, although on the DDP you can't get the best seats. Those(tier 1) can only be gotten oop. We are doing it on the DDP this year, but last we paid cash. The show is 3 guys and 3 gals singin' and dancin' and hootin' and hollerin'. They play to the audience and drag people on stage for the big finale.
The meal is ribs and fried chicken, beans, corn-on-the-cob, cornbread, and strawberry shortcake with all the soda, beer(Bud Lite) or wine you want.

The Hoop Dee Doo is fantastic!!! Definitely worth seeing...BUT...I would personally skip it since this is your first visit to WDW. Save the extra TS credit and experience more restaurants that Disney has to offer. The dining in WDW is unbelievable and themed out so nicely. I would try HDD on your next visit.

Your kids are at great ages for it. I think HDD is great for all ages, really. A great show.

Don't know anything about the Dining Plan, but there truly isn't a bad seat in the house. :)

Have fun!!!

Has anyone stayed after the HDD and seen the lake parade thing they do? We have reservations for a 7:15 showing, will that be over in time to see the water parade? What is the best way to get there for this? I heard taking a boat from the MK? Thoughts?
