We are trying to decide which category to book for the Hoop Dee Do Review. I know sometimes the seats nearest the stage are not the best so I am looking for opinions. We are a group of 4 females- one older adult and 3 young adults/older teens (if that makes a difference). All advice is welcome. Thanks!

We were at Hoop dee do in November and had Cat 2 seating up on the balcony facing the stage. There was 12 of us on 2 tables.:grouphug:

It was great, you could see everything that was going on especially when the actors walked around the tables below. I would think if you were downstairs you may struggle to see who they are talking to.

But don't think your will escape because they do come upstairs to all the tables.

It's areally great, entertaining night - enjoy!:yay:

We had Category 2 seats this past January. Our view was totally unobstructed, we could see everything!

We have Hoop de Dooed 4 times and will be going again in December. We have been seated all over the place. We have been on the far right side, right at the stage, all the way in the back on one of the high tables and right in the middle. We have never been seated upstairs. We have always had a great view, great waiters and a great time. If cat 2 fits in your budget best then go with it. You will be fine.

We had Category 1 seats which ended up being a front row table at the tape mark showing the actors where the dead center of the stage was. It actually intersected the table. They were awesome and certainly don't fall into the "nearest the stage are not the best" category but I know what you mean.

I didn't know where they were located till we arrived, and was worried about it since the floor is flat and my DS4 obviously isn't tall. I was considering a balcony table just so no one would be in front of us.

I think as long as your not in the back of the hall on the floor, its probably all good.

We really like cat 2. Have sat in all 3 on different visits and like the area's where the cat 2 are available.

We've sat at all categories. I like Cat 3 upstairs the best...everyone in your party will have a good view without having to contort yourself around, the sound is good. Cat 2 is good too, but it can be a pain in the neck (literally) if your back is to the stage.

Last month we sat in Cat 1. It was the worst experience ever. We were right up front behind the piano player. The sound was so distorted up there you couldn't even understand what was being said (sung). The piano itself blocked the view of the stage for 1 person in our group. And the piano players back was literally 3 inches from our table...it was uncomfortable. There was also another Cat 1 table behind us and to the right that was even worse as far as the view goes. I'm sure there are good table in this Cat, but ours was NOT one of them.

Are the Cat. 2 tables on the floor elevated?

Can you request a balcony cat.2?

We are going to book this for our Oct trip.
