Okay...we are really going back and forth about whether or not to do the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue. I've seen mostly rave reviews on this dinner show, but the cost is pretty steep for us. I keep thinking of it in terms of "we could do a couple of fun meals for the same cost of the HDDR". It would be myself, DH, DD7 and DS 10--the kids would love the corny humor and I'm sure we'd all enjoy the food! I'm the only one in the family who has been before, but it was 15-20 years ago and I remember very little.

Anyway, I'd really appreciate any opinions you guys might have. Thanks for the help!!

:D

Hi!
I did HDD last summer w/ my DH, DS and DD who were 6 & 5 plus another 6 yr old boy. The kids laughed like crazy, even when they didn't quite get the joke.
Even my husband, who I thought wouldn't like the "cornyness" of it really enjoyed himself.
The chicken is great, the rest of the food is good. They brought Mac & cheese that was not on the menu for our picky kids.

Going out to FW can be an expereince, there are a lot of other things to do out there. If you can withstand the wallet hit, it will be more than just a meal. It will be a really fun time.

We found it worth the cost. Our DS was 9 when we went and he laughed his head off. We all enjoyed it and found the food to be quite good. My DS discovered ribs there and has never been the same.LOL. We are not doing it again this year, because it is quite expensive and we want to try some other things, but we will go back.

We will be going for our third time in December. We went the first time in !997 DDs were 5 and 6. Before our cruise in 1999 and thought it was time to do it again over Christmas. The food is good, the kids love it and so does the big kid(DH) Its something you gotta do!Go for it.:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Dooooo!

It's fun for everyone, the food is good and you will all have some laughs.

Do The Hoop!
We did this in 2000 and loved it! We skipped it in 2001 and went back in 2002. I was a little reluctant to go again only 2 years later, especially when park hours were so short during our trip, but after the show I couldnt stop saying how glad I was we went back. We all(all ages)) laughed nonstop and the food is great...best fried chicken Ive ever had.
It does seem like a lot of money, especially when you total it up for a large group, however when you take into consideration all you can eat, all you can drink, plus the show, its actually quite reasonable.

Thank you so much, everyone, for your replies!! It sounds to me like we have to experience this as a family at least once. If it's so good that many of you go more than one time...we should at least try it! :teeth: I'm sure we'll have a great time! And we can try other restaurants on our next trip...there WILL be a next trip...(she says, hopefully, to her reluctant DH...LOL!!)
