Hoop De Doo ?

My family is travleing with another family of four. I know I can purchase a dvc-discounted AP and then the DDE and use it for our entire table of eight, if I'm present and pay in one bill. My next question is can I get the dvc member discount for hoop-de-doo for all eight of us. I;m not trying to do anything wrong, I just want to find out later I could have saved them some$$$ if I bought all eight txs.
This is our first hoop-de-doo even though we've been to disney now 13 times. Maybe all adults have to show dvc cards to get the membership....I don't know. That would answer the ?, but I can't seem to find a definitive answer.....SUE

I believe the answer is yes, so long as the people your with are your family.

I'm sure the answer is yes, if say you were a member who's rented a grand villa for 6-8 people yourselves/grandparents/sister etc. That and since you don't have to be staying at a DVC resort to get the discounts, I should think you'd be alright.

Who is eligible to receive the discount? (Using an Annual Pass)

Disney Vacation Club Members receive a discount on the Pass for themselves and their immediate family residing in the same household only. At the time of purchase or redemption, your Disney Vacation Club Member ID card must be provided and ALL ADULTS must present a valid driver's license or state identification card showing they reside in the same household.

To take advantage of these great discounts, you must present your Disney Vacation Club Member ID Card and/your "Key to the World" card that states "Disney Vacation Club Member" at the location. When paying for purchases with your Disney's Visa® Card from Bank One, you also must present your Member ID Card to receive any available Member Perks.

Is HDD covered by the DDE card? Do we have to pre-pay for HDD, or can we wait until night of seating.

We are going in August, and we do not plan to buy our DDE card until just before we take the trip... so I will not have a DDE card when I make the reservation.

The 20% DDE discount applies to the 9:30 pm show. Here's what AllEarsNet and PS Calculator websites say about the HDD:

As of August 29, 2004, full payment will be required in full for the Hoop-Dee-Doo, Spirit of Aloha Show and Mickey's Backyard BBQ at the time of booking. As long as you cancel up to 48 hours in advance, you will receive a full refund.

Don't know if you have to have the DDE card in hand when you make the reservation to get the discount - My advice is to call Disney Dining and ask them.
