What do you think of this dinner show? We have done the other two and our thinking of trying this one. we have 3 children 13, 9 & 7 not sure if it is for kids.

We love, love, love it! It is great for both adults and children. It's fun with corny humor and music along with yummy food.

We love it! Its a must do for us. Ds9 and dd4 talk about it all the time. In fact its an ongoing joke in our house. Someone will start off my yelling "Hoop de doo" and one if not all of us will respond and continue on with the song.

Give it a try! Its pure family fun.

We love this show. I have been with children your childrens ages, with a 3 generation group and with adults only. Every time everyone had a blast.
It is a Westesrn Themed show full of singing, dancing, corny jokes and lots of audience participation.
The food is not gourmet, but it is good "Down Home Cooking". It is All You Care To Eat fried chicken, ribs, beans, corn, mashed potatoes, yummy cornbread, salad and strawberry shortcake for dessert. Beverages and tip are included. Beverages include Beer, Wine and Sangria. Other adult beverages are available for a fee as well.
It is a must do for us.

This show blows away the other dinner shows. 8th time coming up in June. My kids started going when they were 5, they are now 17 and still enjoy the show. It is impossible not to laugh. All seating sections are fine. Smaller kids may enjoy cat 1 since you're almost part of the show. Who can argue with unlimited beer!

You will LOVE it - the first time I went I was 13 years old then I went again when I was 18. Now at 36 I am so excited to take my 4 year old! You won't be sorry - Have Fun!

My daughter was 4 when she seen it and she loved it!! She especially loved playing the spoon on the washboard. We are doing it in Nov.

Did this last Saturday, May 7th. It was my 3rd time, but in our group of 10 it was most of the other's first. We had Cat. 1 seating and were right in the middle of the main floor. The kids (11, 6, 5 and 4) all LOVED it. I got to be part of the show too when I was the one who Claire de Lune "recognized" at the beginning. The food is really good too as long as you like fried chicken, ribs and corn bread. And our server was great at making sure our beer and sangria glasses were never empty.

DD10 says that she liked the Hoop Dee Doo Revue & thought it was really funny. Of course, she loves fried chicken!

Our server was the best of our whole trip & the tip is included in the price.

No kids menu, but when we went last year, our waiter brought us macaroni from the adjoining restaurant.

We went last July and paid for Cat 3 seating.

Here's what could be the making of a tip (it has worked 1 out of 1 times for me):

We got to Pioneer Hall neither late nor early, and thus got assigned a table in the category 3 balcony area that was neither good nor poor for the Cat 3 area. We were a group of 6 (3 adults, 3 children). We then went to the gift shop across the yard. However, when they rang the dinner bell and people scrambled to get in line as quick as possible, we were just getting back from the gift shop. Consequently, we were at the back of the line to enter Pioneer Hall.

When we entered the hall, I showed the greeter my seating card. A supervisor of some sort came by, ignored the card, and ushered us to a table that would have been on the border of the Cat 1/Cat 2 area on the main floor (maybe four tables back from the stage and not under the balcony)...really good seats!

I noted that the Hall was maybe 70% full, and none of the side balcony seats were filled.

I strongly suspect that, in the case of an unfilled Hall, that the CMs may be instructed to move guests to better tables, so as to improve upon the atmosphere and to make it more efficient for the wait staff.

My tip: be at, or near, the end of the line going into the Hall and you may be upgraded to a much better table. This may not work if the Hall is at capacity, however the worst that could happen is that you'll get the seat that was assigned to you.
