I have been to both the Silver Dollar City saloon show and the Hoop Dee Doo Revue. We go to Silver Dollar City every other year and Disney every year. I will explain my experience/attitude on both. We usually always see the SDC saloon show with my parents because they love it--my take on it is that after seeing it once I did not have to see it again. I do love to see the Opera House Dickens show, the talking Christmas tree show, the Christmas train ride, etc every time--it is just the Saloon show that I can take or leave after I'd seen it once. We have done many Disney restaurants and have our "favorites". HDDR is not a favorite, but we were glad we did it once. The one time we went to Hoop Dee Doo (I think in 2008) my little girl and I both remarked that the show reminded us of the SDC saloon show. Same kind of corny. The difference was the HDDR experience lasted longer, was generally a bit better entertainment-wise, and we liked the food. As I stated earlier, we were glad we did it once. Probably won't do it again soon unless we take some relatives who have not been--HDDR is something my Branson-loving mom and dad would love.
I hope that helps.
