I have been to WDW 25+ times and never been to Hoop-De-Doo. I think it is now time I experience it. We will be traveling with a large group in May and there will be 2 two-year-olds and 2 five-year-olds. I know the 2s are free but was just wondering if people felt like a 2 yr old would be interested in the show.

Any insights appreciated!

My DS was 2 last time we went to Hoop-Dee-Doo and he loved it. As long as your children don't get scared with a lot of people and noise around, they should be fine. My son was a little scared when the show first started and the actors came out banging pots and stuff, but once he figured out what was going on, he got quite involved. He was clapping and yelling along with the rest of the group and especially liked playing the washboard at the end of the show. You might want to tell your children that they are going to a play and warn them that it will be noisy when the show first starts.

My daughter was 2 1/2 the first time she saw Hoop Dee Doo and she loved it. She loved the dancing and singing and still sings the Hoop Dee Doo song! She would belly laugh when the audience laughed even though she didn't "get" the slapstick type humor. She also loved the washboard and spoons at the end of the show. HDD has always been a favorite of ours and although we had concerns that she would not enjoy the show at age 2, and I'm glad we took our daughter becuase she loved it. Enjoy the show!:D

Hi, we went two years ago and are going next month. My son then not quite 2 absolutely loved it along with my 4 year old and 7 year old. We had a blast and cant wait to introduce my aunt and bil to the fun. Go and enjoy!!!!!

We went a few years ago with two 7 yrs olds, a 5 yr old, a 2 1/2 yr old and a 1 yr old. They all enjoyed it. Though I'm sure the 1 yr old didn't get too much out of the show, she seemed to enjoy herself and the food.

Thanks - I think we will definitely put this on our itinerary then. I am excited to be trying something NEW!!!

OMGoodness! The last trip we made with a 2 year old I missed half the show because I couldn't stop WATCHING HER FACE!!!!!!!
She was laughing and grinning and looked like she just couldn't believe how fun it was. We were there for over a week and it was her favorite (judging from her face).

I was 4, and my sister was 2, the first time our family experienced Hoop Dee Doo, and we have MANY pictures of us having a great time from it. I barely remember it, but it was one of the highlights of that trip =) My dad was chosen to wear a pink tutu for the end scene, and we evidentally LOVED that =)

I think your 2 yo will have a blast.

What exactly goes on at HDDR? Is there a plot? I hear everyone raving about it, but know very little about it except that it's kind of slap stick and countryish. I'm not really a yee-haw kind of girl. Do you think DD4 and I would enjoy it?
