I need opinions....

We are thinking of doing the Hoop De Do Musical Review on our next trip and we will have our 2-1/2 year old DD with us. Have any of you done this with a toddler and how did they do and would you recommend it? The benefit of doing it now is that it would be easier with just one child versus more children in the future. What do you think?

We are just back and our DS3 loved it. We were with another family with a just turned 3 yr old and she loved it also. We did the 5 pm show (the earlier one) and they did great. We also have DD7 and the other family had 2 girls 7 and 5. I'd do it now and again when you have more kids- doesn't matter, show is very entertaining, food comes along at a quick/child friendly pace. There is napkin twirling and washboard playing. An active, fun dinner show.

Oh, my ds did it about same age...and many many times since.
My suggestions are, do the early show.....be sure the child is rested so as not to Miss it by falling asleep during it. The child will LOVE the fun music, yummy food AND especially those was boards and spoons at the end...what fun...be sure to take your camera..have fun!!:wizard:

Same here, my DD was almost 3 and had fun, she giggled, liked our waiter (Bor, that's Rob backwards) liked the show and loved the washboards. She's the kinda gal who loves chicken and corn-on-the-cob, too!

We did it when my DD was that age and it was wonderful, she loved every min. of it and as a plus it's a bit "loud" show so her making noise isn't a problem

Did the show when kids where 20 months and 4 years old. Both kids really enjoyed the show -- believe it or not, I think the little one actually enjoyed it even more than her big sister. Its a very entertaining show and the food is better than average for a dinner/show. I agree with other postings to hit the 5PM show so kids can stay awake and enjoy!

Glad to hear that other toddlers have enjoyed the show. We are booked!

We did it before with 1, 4, 2 and 8 yr olds -- all the kids really liked it. I wouldn't hesitate to go with a 2.5 year old. It's loud (not scarey loud ;)) and fun and they give you washboards to play music on--she would probably like that. :thumbsup2

The only thing I would comment on is that it is loud. DD4yo doesn't like loud sounds so we spent half the time outside. The rest of the kids (including the 2yo loved it)

We did it with our 19 month old at the time and he loved it! We were even on the second floor and he had a blast - he loved teh singing, dancing, food and playing the instruments at the end. I say go for it!
