Hoop De Doo ... tough ADR?

Tried to book just now (online) for four for Aug 17 ... and nothing available at any time. Is this a really tough ADR, like Cindy's? If so, I didn't realize.

I read on another thread that it is going to be down for rehab from August 5 through mid-December. I don't know for sure, but it seems likely since several people have had problems getting ADRs during that time period.

Yeah I've heard the same rumors - they are flying fast and furious around the Dis community. Not sure why, if they are indeed shutting down, they just don't announce it already. I sure hope it's wrong - we just love HDDR. It's one of our favourite things to do.

Yes, we were discussing this on another thread earlier this week and I had wondered if it was just another one of those rumours (a friend of a friend of my hairdresser's cousin said...). But several of the posters said that they had received the information of the refurb from the ADR booking CM. So I guess it must be true. Bummer. I know that refurbs must be done from time to time, but it's sad when it occurs during YOUR vacation!

Well, that would explain it then. Bummer. We haven't been to the HDDR before and were hoping it would be our first-night-after-traveling-to-Orlando dinner.

Oh goodness, I hope it will just be closed for a refurb and not permanent HDDR was our favorite day on our honeymoon-it was so much fun and the food was terrific! We are planning to go again on our next trip.

I really really really was looking forward to taking my family to this! Sounded like so much FUN!
Maybe just maybe it will be up and running by the time we go in December.

I tried to book HDD & a CM told me there were no booking after 8/4 because it was being refurbished - but not closing down

I can confirm this as well. I tried booking an ADR this morning and the CM told me the same thing. We're disappointed but on the bright side it'll give us an opportunity to try something different this year!

Just by a stroke of luck I booked HDDR for August 4 (our 1st full vacation day, not a travel day) which is how we always doo it. I was able to book any time or category I wanted with no problem, so to answer your original question, no, it isn't a tough ADR. I heard later it was going down for refurb on August 5! Keeping my fingers crossed they don't change the date to earlier.
