Hi There,
We are going in August and want to see HDDR for the first time. We are on free dining and will be using 2 table service credits. My kids (8 and 10) are quite the night owls and used to eating dinner around 7pm. I've booked the 7:15 show Tier 2 seats, but wondering how much of a difference it makes sitting in the Tier 1 seats. What are your thoughts about going to the 9:30 show and getting the better seats? We plan to sleep late that day and have a big lunch. Should we bother, or are the Tier 2 seats good? Thanks in advance for your input.

We liked out tier 2 seats. We could see perfectly well and prefer not to be front and center.

Ok I know a lot of people are going to disagree with me but.....
My family DH and DD8 really like the tier 2 seat that are up above the stage. Mainly bc you have a clear veiw of everything. Upstairs it is like a long table with swivel chairs, one way you face the table and eat and one way you swivel around and can see the stage. My DD loves being up higher and NO ONE is on front of you where they can't see the stage. They do have tier 2 that is on the floor as well but they are towards the back.
Again you can't choose where you can sit just which tier.. I wouldn't go for the 9:30 show bc you won't be eating till about 9:55, but that's me.

We also did Tier 2, on the side balcony. It was great! Saw everything and the actors were really good about coming around to the tables. Our son had a long conversation with one of the actors during part of the show. It's true...swivel to the front to eat, swivel to the back to see the show over the balcony!

I personally like the Tier 2 up in the balcony or Tier 3 seats (on the side on the balcony) better than the Tier 1 or Tier 2 seats on the floor. I don't like to sit where I feel like I may be in someones way and also don't like for people to sit in my way. We have also had issues where people would move their chairs to sit on top of us for basically no reason. Up in the balcony there is no issue of anyone moving chairs or being in the way. There is also a chance of being moved up a Tier. They fill in the tables on the floor, so you could be moved from Tier 3 to Tier 2 and even Tier 2 to Tier 1 if they didn't sell out all the Tier 1 tables.

In other words, IMO, it doesn't really pay to spend the extra money. But that is just my opinion.

I'm going in Aug too, on our first night as a surprise for DD. I got the tier one, cause I am hoping we get the seats we did last time...right up front, dead center! They were great! :goodvibes
I have had tier 2 as well, and those were good too. Love that show! :)

We had tier 2 on the floor, in the very back, and they were still decent seats. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house, honestly. Easy to see/hear everything, except a moment or two when a cast member was in the audience in the balcony above us.

We used our dining plan for Tier I seats at the 9:30pm meal. It was me, DH, DS3, Dsister23, D-BIL23, DN5 and DN3. All three of our kids are used to staying up late, so that was not an issue. My son used to wake late morning, take a late afternoon nap and usually fell asleep around midnight. I have never attended another show time, thus have not sat anywhere else. We all loved our Tier I seats. My sister did not book until much later than I did, so we were seated toward the back of Tier I. I had much better seats but traded them in to sit with her.

It felt like we were right in the action. My five year old niece was even chosen to be a part of the show. I think it is less likely for a Tier II or Tier III guest to be selected (so we were happy about sitting in Tier I). She was a hit (especially on the bus ride back to the hotel as all of the other guests kept telling her how great she was). On top of the amazing show, and the wonderful guest star (my niece of course), buses picked everyone up right outside the theater when it was over and took each party back to their direct hotel. I do not think this is done for any other show or showtime (since this is the only one on Disney property starting that late). The bus driver said it is done every night (but I did not inquire as to what showtimes it was available for). It took much longer to get back to the hotel after the late La Nouba showing. Getting out of FW can be quite timely, so we were very happy about that.

Thanks everyone for your input, I think I will go with 7:30pm show. Sounds like the seats are good where ever we end up, and I don't need to wait until 9:55pm to eat.

I personally preferred the section 2 seating. I am very shy as it is, so sitting in this section allowed me to enjoy the show and food without fear of getting picked to participate.

We had tier 2 seats & thought they were perfect. We were the very back table, straight back from the stage. The chairs sat up higher, like barstools, so we could see over everyone's heads but weren't in any danger of being "picked on" by the actors. Everyone loved it & can't wait to go back in May!!

I personally like the Tier 2 up in the balcony or Tier 3 seats (on the side on the balcony) better than the Tier 1 or Tier 2 seats on the floor.

Same here. That's why we always take Tier 3 (even on dining plan) to begin with. You can't choose which tier 2 seats you get and I don't want to be on the floor in the back, and I know tier 3 gets us upstairs and on the rail.

I've had teir two on the floor under the balcony. The seats were close to the stage, and everyone's chair was in a good position, but mine. (But I chose that one on purpose). The piano was a little bit in the way of the view, and I had a couple of very tall people somewhat in the way. I actually prefered Teir 3 to that particular location.

We've also sat in the center of the floor, and that was awesome. No worries with blockage from other diners, and there was so much action going on around us. I prefered that location to the time we sat at the tables right up against the stage. Those were just too close for me.

We'll be heading back to the Hoop in just over a week. I can't wait!!!
